Hari Om Namah Shivaya

I have no intention of continuing this thread...

However, I couldn't resist myself from expressing my views...

In that experience of sat-chit-ananda, one can see everyone..Vishnu, Shiva, or

for that matter,

ANYBODY that one wants..in fact who are we to see? we are always SHOWN....

I don't understand why the jyotishis themselves are trying to advocate a theme,

when the whole purpose of jyothishya is to understand what is to be given...it

shows where one stands on the line of soul's evolution..and where is one

heading towards? That ultimate goal is obviously the experience of

GOD/closeness to GOD/touching his lotus feet/talking to him/her etc etc.......

Why does Lord Krsna say in Gita, "There are 1000s of ways to me".......

In order to let us know that we are a part of him, and we are so CREATIVE, that

we can create our own way to experience him..

I've strongly started to believe in this..in fact, your way of experiencing GOD

is always UNIQUE, it can't be the same as someone else's.

Coming back to the point, as somebody had already put forth the fact, that in

Shiva Purana, Shiva is the ultimate. And in Vishnu Purana, Vishnu is the

ultimate, and so on..

If we cannot understand this very basic principle, how are we going to rise

above the dualities of life? sorry to use the word duality, as this might

already provoke some resistance, but we ARE trying to overcome duality in this

life, pain & pleasure etc..(I hope Vaisnavs & Shivaiites both

agree to this principle, not as a "principle" but as a "fact").

I think that Vyasa's idea in Vishnu-purana (or whoever it derived from) & also,

the one from where was derived Shiva-puranas..there idea/intention was only to

tell you, that cling on to some idea, love that idea/image, purify it so much,

that you won't be able to see anything besides it, and when that oneness is

formed, automatically you experience GOD. Of course, his Lilas are

taught to us to purify our deeds & all the worldly duties..there is no doubt

that this world is HIS playground...but the beauty of it is that we can create

our own little garden in it, and grow little lilies/tulips/roses etc and

attract HIM/HER..IN THE FORM THAT WE WANT TO SEE..

My idea here is not to push forward my own idea, then I will be saying my idea

is better than you all's.

NO, my prayer here to all is that let's maintain our ideas of GOD, practice it

sincerely, let's not oppose others' ideas..ALL IS ONE AND ONE IS ALL.

Once Vivekananda said that, if you want to see GOD, first start seeing GOD in

EVERYBODY,

yes..EVERYBODY......Shivaiite, Vaisnava..all..

Now, if you tend to oppose the GOD that other person sees/or is trying to see,

how will you move toward finding HIM/HER ?

The word Visnu I've learnt means "the all-pervading"...Please pardon me..I'm

not a learned in the sastras...however look at the vastness of this

word.......where does your "idea of God" fit into this vastness?

And the glorious word "Sadasiva" also means similar to this...I think somebody

mentioned earlier that it points to the beautiful ether that's also "all

pervading"..........

Now, how can one say that visnu (is not equal to) Sadasiva(siva)...?

Also, another episode.......once Lord Shiva was asked, who's your father? He

said, Vishnu, and he was again asked, who's Vishnu's father, and Shiva

said "Brahma". Then, the "learned" guys asked, how about Brahma's father, then

he said "me". Now, please tell me, whose father is who?

Which came first, chicken or the egg?

Please.........Let's put an end to this.

By the way, I rarely write, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all

the Gurus & learned members of this group for sharing (imparting) the divine

knowledge amongst all of us (me, being a beginner), to dispell the darkness of

ignorance, and lead us to immortality & reach that abyss of bliss.
