Guest guest Posted May 18, 2003 Report Share Posted May 18, 2003 Dear Sanjayji and list, I am trying to find a muhurta for grihapravesh and have to decide between moon in papakartari betwn ketu and mars and moon conjoined mars. In both cases, Jupiter is in the asc in Cancer. Both the muhurtas donot pass the panchaka test as suggested by bv raman. However, he also mentions that a planet exalted in the asc would nullify all bad influences. Which is the better of the two evils: moon in papakar. or moon with mars? The meaning of the above shlokas is: Rohini,Swati,Revathi,Mrigashira,Moola,Magha are excellent Nakshatras for Marriage Muhurta.Also Hasta,Anuradha,Utara phalguni,Uttarashada, and Uttarabhadra are best Nakshatras.The best Lagnas are Kanya,Tula and Mithuna.Karka,Meena,Dhanu and Vrishabha are middling.To these Lagnas if there is a conjunction of benefics ,then they become best Muhurtas.If Guru is in Lagna ,Simha Lagna is also good.Id Shukra is joined in Makara and Kumbha Lagnas then they are also good.If malefics are placed in Muhurta Lagna,indicates death of either or both bride and bridegroom,if in 2nd indicates loss of wealth,in 3rd,gain of wealth,in 4th no marital comforts,in 5th, increase of enemies,in 6th defeat of enemies and prosperity,in 7th death of Husband,in 8th diseases,in 9th loss of Dharma,in 10th wife's character becomes questionable,in 11th increase of wealth and in 12th expenses.These are the wordings of Narada also. Tithis for Marriage : In Shukla Paksha,1-6-11 are Nanda Tithis and if these are joined ona Friday then it becomes Siddha Yoga otherwise ordinary.In Shukla Paksha ,2-7-12 are Bhadra Tithis and if Wednesday is also joined ,then it becomes Siddha Yoga otherwise normal .In Shukla Paksha 3-8-13 are Jaya Tithis and if Tuesday is joined then it is called Siddha Yoga. In Shukla Paksha 4-9-14 are called Riktha Tithis and if Saturday is is joined then they become Siddha Yogas.But for marriage Saturday and Tuesday are prohibited.But according to Narada,If the marriage is in night,then you can select this Muhurta.Also out of these Rikta Tithis,4 is worst,9 is bad and 14th is better.In Shukla Paksha 5-10-15 are called Poorna Tithis and if Thursday is joined then they become Siddha Yogas.Out of these 5th is worst,10th middling and 15th is the best. Now about Krishna Paksha.1-6-11 are Nanda Tithis.Out of these 1-6 are good and 11th is bad.On Fridays these Tithis become Siddha Yogas as mentioned above.2-7-12 are Bhadra Tithi and with Wednesday become Siddha Yogas.Out of these 2-7 are middling and 12 is bad.3-8-13 are Jaya Tithis with Tuesday they become Siddha Yogas.Anyhow these are banned for Marriage Muhurtas.4-9-14 are Riktha Tithis and when Saturday is jiined they become Siddha Yogas.These are also prohibited for Marriages.5-10-30 are Poorna Tithis and with Thursdays,they become Siddha Yogas.Out of these 5 is middling and 10-30 are prohibited. The above ae the best yogas for Marriage Muhurtas. Sometimes, when shifting from one rented house to rented house, we also need to figure out a good muhurta for shifting. Can we use the same principles for this type of muhurta as for grahapravesam? Worship Ganapathy and then enter.
