The ancients knew that the world was a globe and that the Sun took 6 months to rise at the poles. An astrologer should alwalys make sure that the method he is making calculations will work above the polar circle, else he is doing them incorrectly. Some errors have creeped in due to the fact that astrology was largely practiced closer to equatorial places.
