I am in agreement with you. In a mail I sent prior to this one on the topic, I

come down on the side of having a fee for Jyotishis (although I myself am not a

Jyotishi). I sympathize with your unfortunate experiences. If you did not read

Chandrashekarji's thoughts on this topic which he wrote on Friday, I think you

would find them interesting. Amoung other things, in that email he wrote, "The

shastras enjoin one to help only those who approach with humility, have faith

and are in distress." You may be charging now for those who come to you in

person, but you are still obviously kindly giving much good free counsel as I

have often seen your mails offering help to people on this list.Respectfully,
