> Komilla Sutton's third book in her `Vedic Essentials series', this

latest book titled `The Lunar Nodes – crisis & redemption' provides

new insights into the deep-rooted psychological conflicts within

every being. She says "the need to understand our destiny, our reason

for being here, is what motivates us towards spiritual growth." No

doubt that a reading of this imaginatively expressed and brilliantly

worded book will lead the reader into a lot of meaningful soul

searching. The book is divided into 14 chapters and an appendix on

Vedic Astrology basics. The chapters include 1)Introducing Rahu Ketu,

2)The Rahu personality – the compulsion to experience life, 3)Ketu –

Intuition & enlightenment, 4) The karmic Axis, 5) Rahu Ketu through

the signs, 6)Past lives and soul lessons, 7)Karmic experiences –

Nodal conjunctions, 8) The Planets and the Nodal Nakshetra, 9) The

Yoga's, 10)The timing of the nodal experience, 11)Transits, 12)

Eclipses, 13)Healing your nodal crisis – Remedial measures, 14)

Confronting your nodes – The final analysis,

> The sixth chapter is the high watermark of the book giving

invaluable insights into the karmic reactions between the two

opposite Nakshatra where the nodes are housed. The author blends her

immense knowledge of the Nakshatra into the nature of the node to

bring out the inner meanings. The `soul lessons' are worth reading

and digesting and this single work deserves accolades.

Anuradha/ Krittika where the nodes are debilitated, so Ra and Ke are

forced to work against their natures. The positions of SA and SU

(nakshatra lords) will show how well I will be able to realise the

answers. It was a wake up call for me, to realise the extent of the

effort needed, as both sons are running RA dasa and my daughter is

also runing KE dasa slightly ahead of me. The book does not go into

the vargas, but in the detailed example analyisis of Steven

Spielbergs chart, there is a page on navamsa. I found it useful for

further understanding in my own nature but also for helping others,

running the nodes by dasa.

greater way than reading any translation. The simple and direct

application of principal to a real question.
