This is the reason why he's having less success in his career and he's an alcoholic. He should wear a red coral ring set in silver to strengthen his Mars. How can Mars do harm? Now he is having Mars Dasa started and was told that the dasa would be better than his Moon Dasa (just over). Is there any value for this comment? This means that the person with this yoga has a tendency to start fires. In addition, if Mars is close to the Sun (within 17 degrees), Mars becomes weak due to the heat of the Sun. Therefore, the significations relating to Mars, particular houses 5 and 12, will be negatively affected. This is the reason why the mahadasha of Mars will not be rewarding for the person involved. This has led the person to alcoholism and career difficulties. To counteract this trend, he should wear a red coral ring to improve the situation. It is also a tradition in India to request a pandit to perform yagyas during the periods of weak planets to avert any dangers that may come. I haven't been thru a mars mahadasa yet and probably won't in my lifetime. but I *have* been thru mars antardashas and pratyantar dashas. in the first (my sat/mars/mars) - I accompanied my parents to the United States. then I did extremely well in school and enjoyed myself all around. in the second (my merc/mars/mars) - I (almost by luck and maybe some earlier networking) got my internship and opportunity with a big name national magazine as a photo and writing intern. I did well there and got opportunities to go on from there to paid work. so I would say that Mars antar and pratyantar dashas have been good for me. is this because of other factors in my chart? could be, as mars is my yogakaraka and involved in a ruchaka yoga. some thoughts on this would be welcome. my next mars antardasha is ketu/mars/mars in 2005 may/june.
