Excess of pitta/agni is root cause of almost all diseases, agni is intimately connected to not only the other two doashas but to almost everything, please read Dr. Vasant Lad's "Ayurveda: The Science of Self-Healing". Hence, we cant say that Vijaya Yoga causes skin problems. I believe Mercury represents the skin and its affliction can cause skin problems, especially by Rahu. Further, JUS (Jaimini updesa sutra) says that Acne/skin problem can be caused when swamsa is in house of mercury in Navamsa.
