Guest guest
Dear Vistiji, Chandrashekharji, JKda, Sarajitji, Parthaji and other learned members { sorry for the long list if it is inappropriate} Some questions on current Mars transit 1. Mars is in Aq from June 4th 2003 to Dec 6th 2003, with it getting retro in between, this would be unusually long 6th months in Aquarius. 2. Is this current transit Good or bad in general terms. 3. How does it effect people who are Mangalik, e.g. over natal Mars in any mangalik chart 4. How will this relate to current Mars transit over natal mars and not on natal mars. 5. What would be the effects of it going retro over the natal Mars and not on natal mars. 6. What would be the effects of such an activity of Mars transit esp if Mars dasha has started, all problems together if Mars is badly placed or weak. 7. Any remedies for this transit. 8. Also if we take other transits in respect to Mars in Aq, then it gets aspect of Jup most of the time and also Ven, Sun and Mer later. Anything special here to learn pls impart. 9. Explanation through any example chart would be most wonderful for students. Thanking you in advance. Kindly reply. Guest guest
Dear Sunil, When a planet is in a rasi for inordinately long period, it is reffered to as stambhan. When it transits the Rasi much faster than its usual speed it is known as Atichaari. For some time its motion is very slow and at such time its effects are on a reduced level, as is the case when it is very fast. When Retro it acts as powerful as in exaltation, again depending on its speed during retrogression. Its power to give results like regular Mars gets rediced when in stambhan or when Atichaari. If he happens to be opposite Saturn intransit at such time(of stambhan only) then subject to the Rasi it is posited in and also saturn's strength you see Air crashes Wars, riots and los of life on large scale due to variety of reasons. You could apply the above principles to a chart and understand what is likely to happen. Fortunately this time he is not opposing Saturn in transit, but his presence in Saturn's Rasi could make us witness Natural calamities accidents in skies and civic strifes.Others could have different opinions. Can it be said as, Average speed - Sama, Below average - Manda, Above average - Chara, Retrograde - Vakra (not entering the previous sign in retrograde motion) Retrograding to previous sign - Anuvakra, Changing sign in a above average speed - AtiChara. Guest guest
Dear Sir, Thanks for the explanation, just one small doubt, when the planet gets stationary wouldnt the rays be more powerful and this time they say Mars is closest to the earth in a long time. So wouldnt such a stationary Mars be more powerful and active. best wishes Sunil vedic astrology, "Chandrashekhar Sharma" <boxdel> wrote: > Dear Sunil, > When a planet is in a rasi for inordinately long period, it is reffered to > as stambhan. When it transits the Rasi much faster than its usual speed it is > known as Atichaari. Guest guest
Dear Sunil, Not exactly, what happens is his influence on the sign occupied and aspected remains for longer period. Mars being associated with action, being slow or stationary for long periods is against his very nature. This is why he loses some of his potency. But when having sambandha with Saturn by opposition and to some extent by aspects his malevolence comes to the fore. This of course happens but on much lesser scale when occupying saturn's sign as he would be doing.
