RE: overweight - Dry ,Medium and soft skin types

Dear Chandrashekarji

May be with similar logic we would be able to explain the skin types as well?

whether it is dry ,soft etc.

Are there any reference regarding this in shastras.

The strengths of the planets and Rasis and also the Bhava with reference to

conjunctions, Aspects and navamsha position of the sign dispositors also affect

one's size.

That is why some times you will find that when one applies rules in isolation

they appear not to apply.

I too have heard about this this explanation about jupiter in ascendant.But was

not aware of the significance of watery signs.

Because I have jupiter in sagittarius in ascendant.But i am fortunate to have no

over weight.Now from your explanation i understand sagittarius is a fiery sign

and absorb all the water from jupiter.Are there more things to be checked for

over weight.

Dear Rao,

Once we accept that one gets the body due to the Chart, which we do, it follows

that the only way to reduce it would be through regular excercise. Sun and Mars

being planets giving trim body, if they are functional benefics, their upaasana

might give one willpower to take up and continue excercise.

Of course as they say a tigers stripes could fade but not disappear.

Dear Pradeep,

You are right. If one applies the nature of Planets and Rasis with other

modifying factors,properly' there is no reason why one should not. Many Jyotush

texts talk about Viveka to be applied by the Jyotishi.Viveka signifies sense of

proportion and also seiving out grain from chaff.
