Sun & Moon standing still

Dear Jyothishas and Gurus,

I received this mail and am not too sure how to respond to this. As far i

as know , the notion of the Sun and Moon standing still sounds illogical to

me. Could there be an astronomical basis for this ? I also remember vaguely

that Krishna also created some sort of miracle during the Mahabharata war,

but i don't think that involved causing the sun to stand still. Would

appreciate any feedback.

Lord Krishna covered the Sun in darkness on 14th day of War to help Arjun Kill Jaydrath.

When Lord was giving the sermon of Geeta, time stood still and movement of

planets as well as galaxies of the universe.

Dear Ajith,

This is just propoganda. Check the source of this information and you will

understand what I mean. What Krishna did in Mahabharata is something

else.Arjuna had vowed to kill Jayadratha before Sun sets . Sun either got

covered by clouds or there was a partial Grahana (probabaly the later) which

created an illusion that Sun has set. This drew jayadratha out of hiding to see

Arjuna enter burning pyre per his oath. Sun started shining again and the Lord

pointed to Sun and told Arjuna that as Sun has yet to set he can now kill

Jayadratha per his vow. In all probability, the Lord well versed in Vedic

Shashtra knew the time of application and separation of Grahana on that day and

used this to save Arjuna who was on the side of Dharma.

The mail received by you is a poor attempt to prove Christianity superior to

other religions, as evidenced by the last line of the message, and not any

scientific information. I think Narasimha rao ji stays in Maryland and had some

such thing happened the local press would have reported this. He may like to

comment.
