Some progress has been made,

1.Guru Sanjayji has adviced that marriages can be performed after the first hora

/after 15 degs of Jup in Leo which i think comes to around after 11-13th Of Oct

2003

2. I had sent an email much earlier to Shri Shankaracharya, he also suggests

that marriages can be performed after 18th Oct 2003 with suitable muhurta. the

copy of that letter is produced below for reference:-

 

ChennaiJuly 12, 2003Dear Sir, Marriages can be performed after 18th October

2003, if suitable MuhurtaLagna is chosen with the guidance of an astro -expert.

Question_for_Swamiji: When can people marry in this current transit of Jup in

Leo, are mumbaikers exempt from this phenomenon of adverse effects of marriage

in this current transit.

 

3. I am reattaching the previous post for ref of other members and I would try

and see the muhurta chart and consult with my circle of astrologers (as i am

absolutely zero with Muhurta astrology) and hopefully get back to you. Since i

dont have JHL right now, pls see if the muhurta criteria is met as mentioned in

the below article.

Dear Sridar,

The various articles that I had read said that Jup in Leo is only good for

spiritual activities and marriage and even buying of new house should be

postponed, so apart from marriage even buying of house is not allowed as per

them. I think as per FengShui only after the next chinese year in 2004, should

new houses be bought, this is as per my network.

 

Also, some thoughts in my mind that if only spiritual activities are allowed,

cant marriage be a spiritual activity also, maybe the couple becomes very

spiritually bond if they wed during this period. Would like insight from

learned members if possible.

 

Just for the sake of other members I reproduce the content of the extracts from various articles.

I would like to reproduce an article and would like to know thoughts of learned

members if possible, sometime back there was this discussion on Jup in Leo so

it might help others also.

 

I hope the author doesn’t mind as this would only further knowledge.

 

Article

Vedic treatises forbid performance of auspicious functions during Jupiters stay

in Leo. Still, the sages have come to our rescue with some exemptions to the

hard rule. Remedies are also suggested, if the auspicious functions cannot be

postponed. Ref two slokas from Muhurta Chintamani (not reproduced here in this

letter)

 

Exemptions:

· Auspicious functions like marriage etc can be performed in the regions

that fall to the north of the river Ganges and to the south of the river

Godavari. In places like Rajasthan, Gujurat, MP, some parts of the northern

Maharashtra, some parts of the Southern Orissa, UP and Bihar, auspicious

functions should be avoided. Other places get exemptions from the hard rule.

· Till Jup crosses the first five quarters of stars in Leo (i.e, 4

quarters of Makha and the first quarter of Poorvaphalguni till the 18th Oct

2003), the rule is to be followed strictly. Later, it can be relaxed.

· When Sun transits in Aries, the auspicious functions are given green

signals, even during Jupiter’s stay in Leo.

 

Remedies:

If, still, we cant avoid the situation, then auspicious functions can be

performed, when Sun is transiting in the 11th house from the Muhurtha lagna.

This Muhurtha fixation should be done in consultation with the well-versed

astrologer.

 

 

SJ: Dear friends, there were similar kind of articles on not buying new house

and marriage, but my doubt is can anyone verify what the Shankaracharya ji has

said.

Questions:

1.If anyone who is knowledgeable in Muhurtha astrology can confirm this pls

reply and pls confirm the contents of both the articles.

2. What is Parshuramkshetra, can anyone explain pls.

3. Is this rule applied abroad also or only in India.

4. Has anyone read Shankaracharyaji’s comments on this same phenomenon and can

they please reproduce them here.

5. Are the dates mentioned for wedding in the said year correct.

Dear Sunil,

Eventhough Guru is transiting over Simha Rasi this year and till August 27th of

next year,we have some good Muhurtas for marriage.The dates are November 19,26

and 27,December 3,5,8 ( Three muhurtas ),9,14,15 ( 2 Muhurtas ),January

15,16,23,26,February 9 ( 3 Muhurtas ),10,11 ( 2 Muhurtas),12,23,25,28,29,March

5,7 ( 2 Muhurtas),8 (3 Muhurtas ),9,10 ( 2 Muhurtas ) and 12.

Now Parashurama Kshetra is the coastal area from Kerala,Karnataka,Goa and

Maharashtra.The mythology says when Parashurama killed a lot of Kshatriyas,he

got the curse of killing and then he prayed to GOD and God told him to throw

his axe and the area covered by the throwing of the axe will be freed from any

curses.So when Parashuram threw his axe,it covered all the above said

areas.That is why any auspicious events which are prohibited in other places

can be performed in this area and there will be no Dosha at all.To get the

complete information,mythology has to be read.I have only this information.

If you want the Muhurtas in any of the said dates above,I will be supplying you

and there will be no Dosha at all if you marry during those Muhurtas.

Sun is Trigunatmaka ie., all the three GODs ie.,Brahma,Vishnu and Shiva are

within him.In marriage Muhurta chart,11th house indicates gain.Here the gain of

family life takes place.In this connection Garga Maharshi says ;

divä sürye niçä candre lagnädekädaça sthite|

kaeitdae;a ivnZy<it ggRSy vcn< ywa.

kotidoñä vinaçyanti gargasya vacanaà yathä||

Meaning for a day Muhurta if Surya is in 11th house he removes CRORES of DOSHAS

and similarly Chandra in 11th house in the night Muhurta also removes Crores

of Doshas.This is the promise of Garga Maharshi who was the Asthana Purohit

during Lord Krishna's time.

Not well here, so short note. It just makes sense, Sun in 11th means

gains as it is the gain house, I never knew that Sun means the

Trinity, personally I regard Karan as a higher karma than any in the

Mahabharatha, and I know he is the Sun's son. ( this was personal
