Sanjayji is correct in his book on VRA.But I have followed Prashna Margam also

and my personal experiences regarding Sarpa Dosha and its remedies.

Sarpa Yoga is entirely different as I have already wrote that it is one of the

DALA Yogas in Nabhasa Yogas.Here malefic planets ( Excepting Rahu and Ketu ) in

all Kendras form this Sarpa Yoga.If any benefic planet aspects this Yoga or

conjoins one of the kendras then the effects of sarpa Yoga will be reduced.Here

the arrangement of the malefic planets like a coiled serpent and the result is

that the life will be full of tragedies and calamities and the good events may

take place after along struggles in the life.This is because of the too much

bad Karmas in the native's past life.According to me there is no remedy except

to pray the Ishta Devatha and Palana Devatha and leading a simple life.Anyhow I

make it clear that Sarpa Yoga differs from sarpa Dosha or curse of Sarpas.

Now I will try to explain you how curse of Sarpa or Sarpa Dosha comes to a native.

1) The ancestors were worshipping the family Sarpa ( normally in Karnataka and

Kerala we have family Sarpa deity in the form of stone idol which has been

installed like installing an idol in a temple ) and the present family have

stopped worshipping Sarpa and as a result Sarpa Dosha or its Curse occurs in

the chart and as a result the native loses mental happiness,suffers from blood

related troubles,severe skin diseases,difficulty in getting progeny ie.,

troubles in the womb or uterus of the wife or sperm troubles for the husband

occurs and the progeny is postponed,loses in business,troubles in career ,the

children born may have diffective limbs or constantly suffering from

sickness,eye troubles etc.

2) Sometimes this idol may have a small break and if it is unnoticed for several

years,then also Sarpa Dosha occurs.In this case,the family may get only female

children and not male children at all till the remedies are performed.

3) Sometimes the person or the native's father or grandfather kills a Sarpa and

just throws its body without performing any rituals.This is the biggest curse

or Sarpa Dosha and in this case if the remedy is not done by suitable rituals

then the family may not grow at all.

4) The Sarpa Idol is installed in a small temple and is covered with a small

jungle or forest and nobody is allowed to remove or cut any of the trees from

this forest.So somebody from the family cuts any branch of the tree or removes

any othe stones or things kept in such a Sarpa Temple,then also Sarpa Dosha is

formed.

In all these cases ,the remedy is ,if any of the tree or its branch is cut,then

plant another tree as a Prayaschitta and perform Ashlesha Bali Pooja with

Homam.When I tell this it should be done with Pavamana Homam,followed by Nava

Kalasha sahita Pradhana Homam and then Ashlesha Bali Pooja with Homam,followed

by feeding of young Brahmachari boys ( the young boys whose Brahmopadesham is

completed in that year when this remedy is being done ) and feeding of

Brahmins.

I hope I have given you all the details conected to Sarpa Dosha or Curse and its

remedies and the results of sarpa Dosha.

and mixing up of KSY and Curse of Serpents.in my understanding.Would IT be

clarified What constitutes grave and attention calling situation? Is it Curse

of serpent ORsarpa Dosa? What is your valued opinion about Para 3.3.1.2 of

Vedic remedies in Astrology By Honurable Rath if technically curse and dosa co

exist. It is also understood Sarpa yoga too has evil effect of damaging and

permanent Nature however they act differently ; calling for remedial measure

if not cancilled by presence of benefic planets in quadrants.Hope my request

Dear Raji,

The article is good but in our place Murugan or Subrahmanya is considered as son

of Lord Shiva and Sarpa.Sarpa is entirely different from Murugan. This is my

view.

Now the temple Kukke Subrahmanya is about 60 KMs.from Mangalore but there is

another famous temple in Mangalore itself which is called Kudupu Subrahmanya

Temple.
