Guest guest
Respected members of vedic astrology, I am a recent member of the abovementioned group and through this forum, hope to further my understanding of the fascinating field of vedic astrology. It is too vast for a mere mortal like me to comprehend fully! I am using the efficient and reliable Jagannatha Hora lite (JHL) software for my research and would like to know how to incorporate custom ayanamsas. As an example, in a book (by Frawley, I think), the following data on ayanamsas is given: Lahiri - 23 degree 09' 34" Raman - 22 degrees 2' 57" Yukteshwar - 21 degrees 45' 54" as on 1.1.195. In JHL, the menu option for ayanamsa suggests that the custom ayanamsa be added or subtracted from the standard viz., Lahiri. So for Yukteswar ayanamsa, we have to subtract 1 deg 23' 40". But cross-checking for Raman ayanamsa, the software subtracts 1 deg 27" (instead of 1 deg 06' 37" as obtained from data above). Obviously, this confuses me! Readers, pl. advise. regards Hari Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, and more http://tax.
