Om Gurave Namah

Dear Chakroo,

Just a few quick observations. The 9th (dharma) and 5th (bhakti) lords are

conjoined in the house of meditation and mokshasthan, and aspected by Jupiter.

Since the 5th lord is Saturn aspected by Rahu, this could indicate some

disturbances in spiritual practice, but which would be overcome. This

combination of is also present in the D-20 chart, where 5th and`9th lords Mars

and Jupiter are conjoined in the 12th house forming a Guru Mangala Yoga. The

9th house depicts the dharma, religion, the principles, and norms that a person

abides by, while the 5th shows his adoration and love for God. When dharma and

devotion combine, the worship is perfect. The Sun, integral for spirituality,

is well placed in the lagna and exalted in the 10th in the Vimsamsa. Vimsamsa

also has Cancer rising, one of the most satvik signs in the zodiac. The

presence of Ketu in the 12th from Karakamsa also indicates a spiritual person.

Further in the Navamsha, AK Mars is conjoined the BK, exalted Mercury. This

person is/will be very devoted to his guru and inclined towards the scriptures

and mantras. He could also be interested in astrology. Both the rashi and

navamsha charts indicate a devotion towards Krishna/Vishnu.

Best regards,

Sarbani

Dear All

I was wondering if the person ( a friend of mine) in the attached chart has deep

spiritual leanings. What I see is that in the main chart person has 9 th lord

Saturn to be debilitated in the 12 th house with Retrograde Juptier's aspect on

it. Also, debilitated Saturn is exalted in Navamsa.

Lately the person has started taking more and more interest in religion and philosophy.

As far as I know he does have good relations, although I think he may be closer

to his mother. He is a physicist by training and quite intelligent/analytical.

Although he is not hindu lately he has started reading bhagwat gita, zen

meditation and yoga and has started expressing interest in spirituality.

Dear Sarbani,

I thought debilitated planets, especially in vimsamsa, indicate

higher spirituality, compared to exalted planets. This is mentioned

even in varga chakra book. Is there any exception in this chart that

indicates that exalted Sun in vimsamsa adds to the spirituality of

the person? For, I always thought that Sun, representing the "Self"

should be debilitated (read humbled / forgotten) for attaining

perfect sadhana.

Om Gurave Namah

Namaste Ashwin,

In that case, perhaps the appropriate divisional charts to use are

Navamsa / siddhamsa and not vimsamsa? Because, I feel vimsamsa shows

the process (saadhana) leading to accumulation and not accumulation

itself!Humbleness is the key in vimsamsa.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Namaste Listmembers,

Dear Marques,

Your patience is commendable. The mood and tone on the list

has been less than elevated lately. You may need to wait a little longer for

the answers you seek as the transits don't seem to be conducive right now.

I am not qualified or competent enough to comment deeply on your chart. Also,

I have not recieved permission through my prayers to trust any beneficience

through my comments. I can only offer the simpilicity of observation in the

hope that Gurus and Learned members may correct me and offer you greater depth

of understanding.

I am using the following birth data: March 19th 1962, 9.18pm (41N13 80W29) +

4hrs West GMT, Asc 27Vi15

Your atmakaraka (AK) or soul indicator is Moon. A royal and evolved planet

known as the Queen. You may drop the 'King' tag if your ego will allow! :) as

your soul lessons are to be learnt through the feminine!.

Birth chart (D1 or Rasi) has Moon ruler of 11th of gains in 12th hse of loss,

but 12th is traditionally known as the house of moksha or final emancipation; it

is a good omen to have your AK so placed. Look to the AK, it's placement, house

ownership and aspects to give you an idea of how these 'lessons' are imparted

for your greater good. At first sight, it would seem you 'expend' in the area

of friendships, you may also be perceived as a 'loner' needing seclusion to

ponder the greater secrets of life.

Rahu (North Node) sits in 11th hse. Some say Rahu, being alone will take on

the nature of the sign in which it is placed. I am not convinced of this,

finding through experience the Nakshatra placement more telling of it's

expression. In this case it is Mercury, lord of 1st (self/intelligence) and

10th (karma/behaviour). Interestingly, Saturn and Ketu(South Node), 5th hse,

are placed in the Nakshatra of Moon, so there is a nice confluence of factors

calling your soul urge.

Vimsamsa (D20) is a specific divisional chart for Spirituality. Here, Moon

sits with Saturn in Capricorn Lagna. Very nice for self-actualisation!. Moon

sees clearly in the 1st hse, also a boon for placement of AK. Once again

'relationship' receives paramount importance with Moon aspecting own sign,

which houses the coiled serpent, Rahu and Ketu.

Vedic astrology, will help you realise your soul contract Marques. You have

the patience, intelligence and soul evolution to learn beyond your wildest

dreams. It is not for me to comment further at this stage, but I will assist

you whenever I can, as will many others!.

Om Tat Sat

Love, Ann.

Thank you for the reply. I will only comment on one area.

This may be true that the planet known as the queen is my soul indicator.....now

what is my physical indicator? You continually want me to drop the King tag as

you put it. If my ego will allow it. You should have said if your ego will

allow it. It is my reality. How foolish that a man cannot be king because his

soul indicator is the moon. A planet called the royal queen. So what? Be

realistic and use common sense please.

I am sorry I offended you. My comment was a pathetic attempt at light humour.

Om Shanti

Re: [vedic astrology] Re: Spiritual Leaning

Thank you for the reply. I will only comment on one area.

You wrote: Your atmakaraka (AK) or soul indicator is Moon. A royal and evolved

planet known as the Queen. You may drop the 'King' tag if your ego will allow!

:) as your soul lessons are to be learnt through the feminine!.

Here, Moon
