Guest guest
Dear Sir, Can you please elaborate on this a bit more as it is not very clear to me.If a planet is in Aries in the Rasi and is in Scorpio in Navamsa, does it mean that it will dominate 8th house matters? Regarding Vargottam, suppose Mercury is in Pisces in both Rasi and Navamsa what effect are directly felt by the individual? Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Vishwanatham, Sorry to mispell your name. Yes, Vargottam = varga + uttama. But uttama mean self in sanskrit. Like in uttama purusha form of words it means the individual. uttama need not be taken as BEST. so Vargottama means that the planet is related to the individual. Planets in Vargottama indicates that the native will be directly involved or affected. I will give my understanding of sandhi latter. Warm Regards, S. My confusion really is if Jupiter, Moon, Mercury & Venus could be Vargottama & in Rasi Sandhi, is it that they signify bad? If so, how do we define Vargottama (Varga+uttama), which unlike, Marana/Mrityu/Badhaka does not indicate anything Negative. > > Your insights will be highly appreciated. > > Thanks & regards > viswanadham > PS:I am named as Viswanadham and would like to be called as such. > > sanjayprabhakaran <sprabhakaran@s...> wrote: > || Om Gurave Namah || > Dear Vishwatha, > To know the quanta of sa.ndhi one has to know the reasons for it. > Else 1 degree sa.ndhi is as meaningless as 3.33 deg sa.ndhi > Division cannot happen at all posible real numbers in a rasi(or > zodiac). Guest guest
||Shree Gurubhyo Namah|| Sanjay Namaskaaram Uttama in sanskrit has several meanings depending on the context. But the most general meaning is Superior. the gradations are as follows: Adhama(Inferior), Madhyama(better) and uttama(Best). There is also Kanishta, Madhyama & Uttama when conjoined with a Person. I think 'Aham' means Self hence ahamkara means Self esteem OR Ego. May be in the context of Vargas Uttam = Self but I was under the impression that if a planet is in same house in Rasi+Navamsa it gains strength and hence the word uttama got associated. Please do throw more light on the subject. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Laxman, Uttama can also mean 'First' indicating first house i.e self. Count from rasi sign to navamsa sign of planet the house number so arrived can indicate the matter which the planet will dominate in. Vargottam planet gives the results to the indivdual directly.
