Hare Rama Krishna

Namaste bawagood_13,

I would check for the following for the Asthottari dasa

applicability:-

1) Whether Rahu is placed in a Kendra or Trikona from

Paka langa ( i.e the sign occupied by the Lagna Lord)

2) Whether birth at day time is "Krishna Paksha" OR

Whether birth at night time is Sukla Paksha

3) If both of (1) or (2) above are applicable, then one

should use Ashotottari dasa for a native's chart.

Regards

Raghunadha Rao

Dear RaghunadhaRaoji,

Namaste.

Sorry to intervene. Your information regarding use of

Ashtottari Dasa system was very useful. But if you

don't mind would you kindly clarify with regard to

your statement "If both of one or two are applicable".

Presumably it is a typo and you mean that when both 1 and 2

conditions are prevalent then the above system is better.

Sorry to bother you on this but would you kindly reconfirm.

I enjoy reading mails from knowledgeable people like

you .Could you also tell me where I could get more information on the

Ashtottari Dasa system? It is unfortunate that we from India cannot access

the old files

from the Archives of the Vedic Astrology groups .

Thank you in advance for your trouble,

regards,

amar

Namaste Raghunadha Rao ji,

There is a doubt I too have connected with the dasa systems that should be

used and will be grateful if you could guide me in this. If we use the

following birth particlars all the conditions for ashtottari dasa system

seem to be satisfied:

Male, 2nd March 1967, 78E35 25N26, 08:55 AM

In this case however even the lagna seems to be vargottam, meaning that the

sataabdika dasa system should apply. My confusion is, should vimsottari,

ashtottari as well as sataabdika systems be used ? Or should we use a

specific dasa system for specific events ..etc. Please share your

thoughts...

Regards,

Kirti Simha

Hare Rama Krishna,

Dear Amar,

I would suggest to read the "Vimsottari and Udu Dasa"

Book by Sanajy Ji to get more understanding on

Ashtottari Dasa system.

I am learning so quickly because of blessings from my

Guru Ji and my mother Mahalakshmi.

So if you are really serious about learning Jyotish, then

I would sicerely suggest you to find and approach to a Guru

who can take you as a Sisya and then only your learning

will be systematic and successful.

Hope this is of a little help to you.

Regards

Raghunadha Rao
