Guest guest
Dear Siva, Firstly, i like to clarify that it was not my intent to ridicule you. In case it sounded like that, pls accept my apologies. Secondly, all astrologers work hard before making a prediction and do it with sincerety. Now, you know cricket commentators, do make comments like law of averages! Sounds something like tossing up a coin, is it not? When we say, the birth data is wrong, when the prediction has come true, then the technique is unreliable as well. If we say both technique could be unreliable and birth data could be wrong as well, yet the prediction could be very accurate, then i think we are entering the realm of Yogis. For lesser mortal like me it is tossing up a coin! Wishing you good luck in whatever experiments you propose to do with the Lockers & birth data. regards viswanadham
Guest guest
Dear Vishwanadham-ji, I did not take any offense. My understanding was that the "idea" was ridiculed, not "I" was ridiculed. We can use more milder words than "ridicule" but thats a different issue. The reason for my point is, astrology is a vast ocean of multiple techniques. Many times contrary indicators will be in a chart and when one astrologer is looking for an answer to one specific question, (s)he might unintentionally ignore some indicators and arrive at a result. That is why even the best of the astrologers cannot claim 100% success rate. It is just not possible, unless the astrologer has some yogic power. Similarly, it is sometimes possible (though kind of rare) that we can arrive at some successful predictions using wrong birth data. For example, consider two horoscopes (H1 and H2) floating around for a person, X. It is so possible that both H1 and H2 might hold promise for some great achievement during the same period. So any prediction made using either horoscope for a particular period will be correct! Unless we know very specific personal events, it may not be very easy at all to settle a horoscope without any controversy. regards, Siva. vedic astrology, H S Viswanadham <vishwanatham@r...> wrote: > Hare Rama Krishna > > Dear Siva, > > Firstly, i like to clarify that it was not my intent to ridicule you.
