Guest guest
Dear François, The star Zeta Piscium or called Revati was the star which was used traditionally as a reference to calculate the 0°Aries point. Now as to where exactly the star was situated in the band of 13°20' which was known as the naksatra of Revati, I don't know, so that is an area of speculation which we will not vent into. Lahiri or Chitra Paksa Ayanamsa takes the star of Spica (Chitra) as the 0°Libra. It gives accurate calculations, and is used by many astrologers in India and over the world, having been accepted by the government of India. If you are adept in astronomy, you could check the difference. It is accepted that the point of 0°Aries was 10 arc min behind the naksatra of Revati. Please let us know if you may find something striking.
