Guest guest
Dear Mr Poddar, Thanks for you most handy Jyotish Calc spreadsheet that is so beautifully laid out. In that regard, I have a couple of questions. Firstly, the planetary positions seem to be correct as per Lahiri ayanamsha, but the Ascdt / lagna is out by several degrees. Why is that? Secondly, how does the spreadsheet differentiate between east/west longitudes and south/north latitudes when there doesn't seem to be any notation in that regard? This query also extends to time zones between plus/minus as per GMT. Thirdly, could you please include the Midheaven / madhya lagna in a future version. Interesting to see how it moves around in the vargas. Many blessings, Peter Richard
Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Peter Richard, You are welcome. I will try to increase the scope of the spreadsheet by adding more bodies in the future release and try to make it customised to the requirement in a way that you can chose your own bodies to be displayed in the divisional charts. However, you can still see the placement of any bodies in any divisional chart, in the division sheet. What you require is to enter the longitude of the planet in the zodiac. I have noticed the variation in the longitude of the Asdt, which is away by a few seconds by normal. I will try to find out the reason and fix it. As of now it only Picks up the values calculated by the Swiss Ephemeris. I will also try to put more ayanamsas in future release.
