With due respect, I am taking your time for my problems.

May I start the stotram of lakhsmi hridayam with narayana hridaya from tomorrow?

or should I start from the coming friday?Since Ramdas raoji has advised me to

chant the stotras for progeny purposes , May I consider him as my guru for

initiating the stotras? Regarding preta dasha nivarana and sarpa dasha removal

ramdas raoji has advised me for narayan bali in gaya/haridwar/trayambakeswar

and sarpa bali in trayambakeswar/kalahasti. Since I am in USA and my 2nd

finger print notice may come any day, i cannot live USA right now. Ramdasji has

advised me to ask you for suitable priest here. What do you suggest? may I do

the remedies here or can do by somepriest in India. Will that be giving me the

same effect if myself and my husband don't go personally and give the puja? i

am really getting frustrated and confused . Pl. advise me .

slokas at the end of Narayana Hridayam seem to suggest that you have to read

Lakshmi Hridayam once per every single reading of Narayana Hridayam. I was

taught to read Narayana Hridayam first and then Lakshmi Hridayam. If I read

Narayana Hridayam again after that, I was taught to read Lakshmi Hridayam also

once more. That is how I interpret the slokas at the end of Narayana Hridayam,

which outline the procedure. Some people may interpret like you did above.

This is particularly auspicious on Fridays according to the phalasruti. Friday

night is specifically mentioned in phalasruti. The phalasruti at the end of

Lakshmi Hridayam says that Sukla paksha in Aswayuja month is particularly

favorable.

If you recite these two hridayas several times with some rice, cook the

abhimantrita rice and offer it to Lakshmi and Narayana and then give it to a

pregnant lady, the slokas say that Narayana Himself (or Lakshmi Herself) will

be born. Of course, we are imperfect in our procedures and so it may not hold

true completely, but definitely the child will be blessed.

For example, I read the two Hridayas 11 times each on a Friday night in sukla

paksha in Aswayuja maasa and gave the abhimantrita rice to my wife when she was

carrying my daughter. My daughter has Lakshmi yoga in her chart, along with two

Mahapurusha yogas and a very strong Tapaswini yoga. She was also born after

exactly 108 weeks of a special Lakshmi pooja (namely, reading 108 names of

Lakshmi 108 times on every Friday). So I believe that we got a child carrying

the blessings of Lakshmi.

I also did this to some friends and relatives. If you have a friend or relative

who is pregnant, this is the best gift you can give them.

PS (to Anna): You asked about chara paryaya dasa. Yes, Anna, it is different

from chara dasa and JHora commercial version computes it. That is what I used

in that article.

PPS (to Hari): Hari, you definitely did not criticize. I did not look at it that

way. I was reacting to mails from another member, who made some sweeping

statements on astrologers as a whole and used me as an example. In any case,

constructive criticism is always good and I sincerely welcome it. Don't worry,

you weren't misunderstood. Not by me!

It is a good idea to wait for a good day rather than starting

tomorrow. January 2nd night is good. It is a Vaikuntha Ekadasi day.

It is also a Friday. Start the pooja that night. Read Narayana

Hridayam first and then Lakshmi Hridayam. You can repeat it several

times if you want (but the Hridayams are lengthy and take 15 minutes

together to read once).

It may be a good idea to start this pooja when Jupiter is rising.

Then lagna lord Sun and 5th lord Jupiter will have a parivartana.

Irrespective of other doshas, 5th lord Jupiter in lagna will protect

the pooja and give results.

Regarding other remedies given by Sri Ramdas Rao, I cannot help you.

I too don't know any priests that can help you. Depending on where

you live, please see priests at the local temple. If you live near

Boston, Sri Krishna Bhattar and Sri Bhairava Sundaram at the Ashland

Hindu temple are quite sincere and learned.

Dear All,

Well I just went through the http://sanskrit.gde.to/ website and

found Naryana Hridayam(pdf) but could not locate Lakshmi Hridayam at

all...Is it the same as MahaLakshmi Stotra? Any ideas where its

located on the web?
