Guest guest
I am interested in starting a Non Profit Vedic MedicalAstrology/Ayurvedic initiative in Houston, TX. Main objectives are i. A place where people can learn, exchange knowledge and excel ii. Help people who need help like my friend Vicki (VCA_SAP) iii. Spread Vedic/Medical Astrology/Ayurvedic awareness among people. I have support of few Institutions and Industrial organizations who are more than willing to support/start/fund such an initiative in Houston. Good news is that few excellent Aurvedic vaids and yogis have expressed their willingness to join the center. I understand that Ayurveda is proven but not sure about Medical Astrology as my friend Vicki didn't get any substantial answers to his questions from anyone. Any thoughts/Ideas/recommendations? Any experts in Houston area who might be interested in sharing their knowledge at this center? Any experts in other parts of country who might be interested as visiting Gurus to this center? Any good literature available in Vedic Medical Astrology? Thanks in advance.
Guest guest
Hey James: You may contact or have one of your associates in Asia offices contact Dr. Charak in India. He seems to have written few books on Vedic Medical Astrology. I don't have his contact information. Probably, anyone here could help you? Also, this forum appears to be more for students exchanging their knowledge/ideas about Astrology so don't make your opinion on Vedic or Medical Astrology based on posts here. I have contacted one of GURUs, Sri Rao as he seems to be quite knowledgeable in Vedas/Vedic concepts. You can try contacting him. Call me and I will give you his contact information. It is amazing to see that you are thinking about such a center desipte of yours such a busy schedule. Wish you all LUCK. Guest guest
Namaste friends, Dr. K.S. Charak is indeed a well-recognized expert in Vedic astrology and medical astrology. I have his books on medical astrology. However, his approach to medical astrology has been, as far as I have read, to marry Vedic astrology with modern medicine. Unfortunately, he never paid much attention to the ayurvedic paradigm. It is probably because of his background as a medical doctor trained in the modern western paradigm. So, despite his great efforts, the contribution he made to medical astrology is, IMHO, quite incomplete and, in fact, in a wrong direction. We need to rediscover all the links between Jyotish and Ayurveda to really have a worthwhile body of knowledge called medical astrology. A lot of work needs to be done, in order to marry ayurveda with astrology. A lot of genuine knowledge has been lost in this area and waits to be rediscovered. Dr. Brendan Feeley is probably the most knowledgable in this area. He is a well-known Vedic astrologer and a practitioner of Ayurveda and Homeopathy. He is doing researches on the links between ayurveda and astrology. He is based in Maryland/ Washington area. I too may be able to help in my own humble way, as I have been studying ayurveda for a few years now. I have relied on ayurveda for personal care and did not take any allopathic medicines for 3.5 years now and my self-diagnosis was always based on rasi and D-6 charts and Paryaya dasa of D-6 (as I am not good at diagnosis without using astrology). You can contact Dr. Brendan Feeley at bpfeeley. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha > Dr K.S CHARAK, who has written books on Vedic Astrolgy, can be contacted thru publishers > Syastems Vision, A-199 Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-1NEW DELHI, 110 020 > > vca_sap <vca_sap> wrote: > Hey James: You may contact or have one of your associates in Asia > offices contact Dr. Charak in India. Guest guest
Dear Narashimaji I am currently a medical student in the UK and would one day want to help in the push to unite Ayurveda, Jyotish and modern medicine. Its interesting you use your D6 for self diagnosis! I wonder if you could give one example of how you do this? I for one would really really appreciate it. And BTW what is paryaya dasa? Best wishes Kasim >"pvr108" <pvr >vedic astrology >vedic astrology >[vedic astrology] Re: Vedic Medical Astrology Initiative in >Houston, TX >Fri, 12 Dec 2003 17:46:07 -0000 > >Namaste friends, > >Dr. K.S. Guest guest
hi kasim i am a student of vedic astrology but i swithed to lal kitab as it was more simple and not complicated math . how we can make so many charts di to d60 what is surety of accuracy and none can change the destiny but the d-6 seems interesting as we do have to see why we get sick as all script say body is temple of god oit make sense wee think as we are saparate from devine and the consequene we get greet and dont feel fellow being pain and dont w extend hand of help toward other and lo we get our share of pain. now my wife and son both are astamatic i think it is place we live or it is individual karma my wife i have hard time to convince as mind over body and i think my son start seeing point if your counscious is not to take medicine and work by your pure thiught it may disappear some day i will like them to meet dr brennan if possible as we liv ein metro d.c also my wife now take some gold medicine and feel great but doc mention about side effect could be debad so she goeg fro blood test every two week. i cant change her psyce that medicine is not to use as regular diet she thinks pills keeps her without pain rajinder --- Kasim Khan <kasim_ch wrote: > Dear Narashimaji > > I am currently a medical student in the UK and would > one day want to help in > the push to unite Ayurveda, Jyotish and modern > medicine. > > Its interesting you use your D6 for self diagnosis! > > I wonder if you could give one example of how you do > this?
