Dear Shri.Rao,

May I ask a question here.Regarding marriage,is your analysis of AL and UL

based on the Rasi chart or D9 or are we take both?If so how to blend

them?.Suppose in the Rasi UL is 5th from AL and in D9 it is 12th from AL,

how can we read them?

Kaimal

Dear Shri.Rao,

Pranams!

Thank you taking the trouble answer my layman's level questions.I am happy

that it has generated a lot of interest and many mails arecoming in response

to it.Can you also please be kind enough to say something about the aspects

on various houses from UL?Every body is saying only about the planets in

various houses from UL and there is no mention about aspects. Is it that from

UL in D9,aspects on the houses from it do not matter?

Kaimal

Hare Rama Krishna,Dear KPK,Let me attempt to give few principles related to UL

and AL based on my understanding and studies so far.I was tought by Guru Ji to

see first the basics of any matter which we are interested in. So let see the

basic building blocks for the the marriage and add the UL and AL components on

the top of it.Marriage is basically a dharma, so first thing we need to see is

whether native can marry and also we must determine whether the native has

capability to give. This is done by seeing the relationship between Arudha

Lagna and Upapada Lagna:Now coming to your question:Let us take few examples

and see what relationship we can find from that.* If the Upapada is in the 12th

from Arudha Lagna, the native ignores the spouse, eventhough the spouse is a

good

person. As you know, 12th house is "Vyaya Sthana" which represents Loss, so if

UL is placed here then by ignoring the spouse only the native' losses some

thing isn't it.* If the Upapada is in the 7th house from Arudha Lagna, the

native perceives marriage as an obstruction to their ideals and this could

delay marriage. As you know, 7th house represents "Bharya-sthan /

Maraka-sthan", and also desires, so combining those principels with the

placement of UL in this house, we can see clearly how the native perceives the

marriage as an obstruction to their ideals.Like this, I would take the basic

principles and continuemy analysis.Request Guru's and Learned Members to

correct me if my thinking is not correct.RegardsRaghunadha Rao--- In

Hare Rama KrishnaNamaste Rao,You wrote:

I wanted to add an important principle to your post that you may already know.

The second from any house shows it's sustenance. So, if there are malefic

influence on the second house from the UP, it is difficult for the marriage to

sustain itself. This is why the diety associated with lord of the second

house from UP is propiciated by mantra as a remedy to troubled marriages.

With best wishes,

Karen
