Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna, Dear KPK, Let me attempt to give few principles related to UL and AL based on my understanding and studies so far. I was tought by Guru Ji to see first the basics of any matter which we are interested in. So let see the basic building blocks for the the marriage and add the UL and AL components on the top of it. Marriage is basically a dharma, so first thing we need to see is whether native can marry and also we must determine whether the native has capability to give. This is done by seeing the relationship between Arudha Lagna and Upapada Lagna: Now coming to your question: Let us take few examples and see what relationship we can find from that. * If the Upapada is in the 12th from Arudha Lagna, the native ignores the spouse, eventhough the spouse is a good person. As you know, 12th house is "Vyaya Sthana" which represents Loss, so if UL is placed here then by ignoring the spouse only the native' losses some thing isn't it. * If the Upapada is in the 7th house from Arudha Lagna, the native perceives marriage as an obstruction to their ideals and this could delay marriage. As you know, 7th house represents "Bharya-sthan / Maraka-sthan", and also desires, so combining those principels with the placement of UL in this house, we can see clearly how the native perceives the marriage as an obstruction to their ideals. Like this, I would take the basic principles and continue my analysis. Request Guru's and Learned Members to correct me if my thinking is not correct. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Raji, Let us see again the basics of the 5th house to answer your question. 5th house represents "Matru Sthana / Sukha Sthana". So, when UL is in 5th from AL, then the native will be in good harmony with the "Matru and Sukha Sthana", hence the native will have a happy marriage, isn't it. The same can be extended for the 9th (Bhagya Sthana) house as well. As Narasimha Ji had mentioned several times in "Achyuta CD", one who understands the basics of the Vedic Astrology clearly, then analysis will be easier for any matter/placement. Hope this may be of a little help. Guest guest
Hello Raghunadha Rao Ji, If In case for a couple , where Man has AL in 3rd and UL is in 4th means... AL is second to UL While wife has UL in 4th and AL in 5th.. means UL is 12th to AL. But interesting ly in both the cases UL falls in 4th house, Does it have any significance? How to analyse such charts where One has UL 2nd to AL and One has UL 12 to AL. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Namaste Kaimal Ji, Let me attempt to answer to your question with my beginners knowledge, and request Guru's to correct me if I wrong. Marriage itself is a step from the sensual desire, to the institution of dharmic/legal union. Hence this is seen from the 9th house and the results of marriage are seen from the Navamsa (D-9) divisional chart. Let us take few examples of using Navamsa with the following exampels:- * The 2nd house from Upapada shows the troubles to marriage * A benefic planet/sign in the 2nd from Upapada will give the spouse a beautiful face etc., Where as the Rasi is the base for the native in everything, so we have to consider the UL placement with respect to AL in Rasi only and the results of the marriage to be seen from Navamsa ( D-9 ). Now regarding placement of Upapada is in 5th/9th from Arudha Lagna in Rasi, I have already wrote y'day, so you may please refer to that. Hope this explanation may be of a little help to you. Guest guest
Dear Rao It is nice to learn regarding UL from you.Thanks. If UL and AL falls in the same house what does it mean. Also do the outside world percieve the individual and wife in the same way. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna, Namaste Karen, Thanks for writing the very important principle, which is associated with what I have mentioned earlier. I agree with you. So, if there are malefic influence on the second house from the UP, it is difficult for the marriage to sustain itself. This is why the diety associated with lord of the second house from UP is propiciated by mantra as a remedy to troubled marriages. > > With best wishes, > Karen
