Guest guest
Dear PVRji, Very well said. As of now, the reality is noone can state with authority that Rama indeed walked in flesh and blood during a particluar time period. As you correctly pointed out, archeology and palentalogy are deductive sciences and the theories might change drastically if and when a new evidence is found and corroborated. However, I dont agree with your assumption that Ramayana portrayed humans communicating with apes and that denotes a particular period in evolutionary cycle. Ramayana even has instances of humans communicating with birds (Garuda). That may not make much sense from evolutionary point of view! My point is that no solid inference can be made based on ancient poems and epics without corroborating evidence. Poems and epics can be interpreted in upteen number of ways based on our bias and limited knowledge. Only hard, verifiable facts might allow us to say with authority that Ramayana indeed did happen more than a million years ago. Till then, all of us can only keep guessing. warm regards, -Siva. vedic astrology, "pvr108" <pvr@c...> wrote: > <snip> > > You have to remember that archaelogy, paleontology etc are > soft sciences.
