Guest guest
Dear Jim, Well you need this Book:Three Hundred Imp. combinations by B.V.RAMAN ,to get his methods and techniques regarding the strengths of various yogas. In short you need three things for evaluation(this is from his book): 1. The good and evil lords in a horscope (Benefics are Lords of Lagna, 5th and 9thn house...also lords of 4, 7, 10 are benefics if they are natural malefics. Malefics are Lords of 3, 6, 11 and Lords of 4, 7,10 if they are natural benefics. Neutrals are 2,8, 12 Lords) 2. The inherent strengths of theplanets involve din the yoga (SHADBALA STRENGTH and SAPTAVARGA BALA..bust SHADBALA strengths will prevail) 3. The residential strength of planets (add additional points if aspected by yogakaraka and yogakaraka is benefic and in exaltation or freindly signs..deduct points of yogakaraka is malefic and in debilitation or inmical signs) Here's my ideas: (i) Now Combine 1, 2 and 3 effects to get the general strength of the yoga. (ii) Also note that for any yoga to initate the natal Sun should be string and natal moon should be strong to sustain it, otherwise all yogas are useless. For timing of the yogas, they are related to Vimshottari Mahadasas/antardasas/pratyantar-dasas of concerned planets. (iii)If planets involved are debilitated and/or in conjunction with malefics/nodes, then also the yogas are useless. (iv) Also some yogas fructify in later stages of life and some earlier depending upon the placement of concerned planets in various sign types(SIRSODAYA SIGNS, PRISTODAYA SIGNS AND UBHAYODAYA SIGNS) SIRSODAYA SIGNS(head rising:good/evil results in first one third of their dasa. All benefic signs, these are taurus, libra, gemini, virgo, cancer and sagittarius PRISTODAYA SIGNS(back rising :good/evil results in last one third of their dasa. All malefic signs, these are : Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius and Leo) UBHAYODAYA SIGNS( both head and back rising: good/evil results in middle one third of their dasa. these are : only Pisces ) Good Luck with your research. All the best and regards RMK vedic astrology, Jim Conard <jimconar> wrote: > Dear All, > I have a basic question that how do one get to know > the strength of a particular yoga. Guest guest
Let me share with you whatever little I know about the two yogas. GajaKesari Yoga --> From what I read in Guru Narasimha's book, this yoga will manifest and yield better results if it also occurs in Divisional charts. Also the placement of the planets involved, in the Dasavarga scheme would also count. Budh Aditya Yoga --> There have been a flood of e-mails in the recent past( within the last 2 weeks) on the same topic. So you can refer to archives regarding it. Hope it helps.
