Guest guest
Thanks for this explanation. Last 20 years I deal with 'sunrise' never asked the question, that's what softwares do- so one gets bit disconnected from meaning- I love comp. anyway. Anna Sarajit Poddar <sarajit (AT) (DOT) org> wrote: Jaya JagannathDear Anna,I believe that no question is stupid. So you are most welcome to ask any question you have. Sunrise time is the time you see the first ray of SUN on the Horizon. So this is the time, when the apparent limb of Sun is rising on the Horizon.JHORA and for that matter all ephemeris gives such time. If you have astrological software, you can find the sunrise time, as the time when the center of Sun (Solar Longitude) is ahead of the lagna by 50 to 60 arc min. Thus the center of sun rises approximately 3 to 4 min after the rise of the Lagna with the Apprent solar upper tip. Those who take the Rise of Sun with the rise of Center of the Sun, can take the Sunrise time as the time, when Lagna is exactly same as the Solar Longitude. However, for Jyotish Purpose, the first option is more suitable.I hope I have satisfied your curiosity.Best WishesSarajit> > Dear Sarajit,Do you want stupid Q- here it is:How do you determine Sunrise time-who many hours from -00-Sunrise?Thanks> > Sarajit Poddar <sarajit (AT) (DOT) org> wrote:Jaya Jagannath> Dear Santosh, This must not be a bug in the software. For Jyotish purpose, we use the weekday m Sunrise to next days sunrise. Now if you are looking at any date after 00:00 hrs to Sunrise of next day, although the weekday changes in the english calendar, it remains the same for Jyotish purpose. Weedays form a very vital part as one of the panchanga, so we need to take the Jyotish definition and not english calendar difinition. Please get back, if is not happening this way.
