Guest guest
Respected Gurujan, What is the significance of Ketu (vakra), Chandra and Budha in the 4th house? The lagna is Cancer, so the fourth house is Libra. Will Ketu give viragyam (detachment) so that domestic happiness is affected? This is in a female's chart. Guest guest
|Namah Shivaaya| Dear Venkat, I just wanted to point out that Rahu and Ketu are always retrograde (vakra). They do not follow the normal path of the Sun, as the rest of the planets do. I am young in this field, and wanted share some of my thoughts... Wherever Ketu sits, there will be a void of sorts. The detachment stems from the story of the Asura Rahu who was severed from the head when trying to consume the drink of immortality ("Amrit Ras"). Rahu became the ecstatic material head who managed to taste the nectar, and Ketu, the lifeless body, seeking liberation for the mistake that occured... As they are both shadowy planets ("chaya grahas") they have an adaptive quality. Just like all planets are akin to a dynamic personality entering an environment (Rashi / House), so too will Rahu / Ketu respond in a certain manner. While you have requested just one combination, a chart has to be studied in whole so a more accurate picture can be available. I will try to make some generalizations for you... 1) The 4th House is the heart ("hridaya") of a person. Incidentally, it is also on the darkest side of the zodiac (invisible / visible sides of the chart). Amongst others, it also represents the Mother, comforts, the home, material vehicles, etc. 2) The sign of Libra is the one of Scales ("Tula") tryign to teach us how to balance out things... 3) Already written a little about Ketu above. The nurturing Moon (also consider if in the dark / bright half ("Krishna / Shukla Paksha") is the Queen of the night. This is also the person's lagna lord ("lagnesh"), and hence the body will be focused in 4th House related matters. The influential Mercury ("Buddh") is like a child and adapts to his environment. With His Mother, and Ketu, he is going to react based on their influence, howsoever they may be... If you consider the above points, and are in agreement, then it may appear that the lady you are talking about has a fluttering heart, a little uncertain, a cloud of darkness on the shining light of the mind, and with a lot of changes relatig to the domestic front. The "detachment" you may be referring to seems to be thus, naturally, a little challenging..... The Moon may not be so comfortable with Ketu and the child-like attributes of Mercury could multiply tihngs.... I hope that this helps in your reading as you continue to learn more, and be one with the light of the Stars...... In a hope of humility, in praise of my Guru and in encouragement for the SJC, Best wishes, love and light, Nitin. :> vedic astrology, "venkatarama_sastry" <venkatarama_sastry> wrote: > Respected Gurujan, > > What is the significance of Ketu (vakra), Chandra and Budha in the > 4th house? Guest guest
Nitin Ji, How accurate your reading is! Yes, this lady indeed had a lot of domestic changes in her life. She is a little uncertain, as you say, and even though she has been blessed on many aspects, there are often clouds of darkness. You said you were young in this field, but even with just one combination, you gave a very good reading! Thank you, sir! I am also very new to this, but my grandfather was a good astrologer in his time, and I am studying his notes to learn more. The moon is Shukla Paksha. I am giving the lady's birth details below, for your kind consideration. Any other insights will be much appreciated! Thank you. Birth: Hyderabad, India. 12:40AM (after midnite) october 6 1967 Lagna: Cancer Guru, Sukra: 2nd Bhava Surya: 3rd Bhava Chandra, Ketu (vk), Budha: 4th Bhava Mangal: 5th Bhava Shani(vk): 9th Bhava Rahu (vk): 10th Bhava vedic astrology, "Nitin" <astronitin> wrote: > |Namah Shivaaya| > > Dear Venkat, > > I just wanted to point out that Rahu and Ketu are always retrograde > (vakra).
