EMF Health Effects.Geomagnetic Disturbances and Capillary Blood Flow in Ischemic

Heart Disease Patients.

A Russian research group analyzed possible correlations between capillary blood

flow (CBF) and geomagnetic activity in patients with ischemic heart disease.

CBF was analyzed by optical capillaroscopy of the nail bed in 81 ischemic heart

disease patients. The average correlation coefficient values between the CBF

condition and geomagnetic activity indices varied from 0.45 to 0.58 (with the

standard deviation from 0.16 to 0.27) for different groups of patients. The

authors concluded that the CBF condition in ischemic heart disease patients

worsens on a day when a magnetic storm begins. [bENER 13751]
