Guest guest
Namaste Shyam Sundar ji, Well, Rahu's periods have not been good for India actually. Without using your "VJyotish beneficence indicators" and using simple common sense, Rahu is afflicting lagna. Rahu is the nakshatra dispositor of maraka Mars (7th lord in 2nd). It was during Saturn-Rahu antardasa that India was humiliated in a war with China and went through a terrible crisis in confidence. It was during Mercury-Rahu antardasa that "emergency" was imposed in India. That was the worst period in Indian history. Only Ketu-Rahu was a positive (or non-negative) Rahu antardasa. Again, Venus-Rahu antardasa saw the country thru a lot of instability. It was during Venus-Rahu that India went thru the rule of Deve Gowda, I.K. Gujral and later Vajpayee. Vajpayee government fell in this period once. Overall, there was instability all around. Once Jupiter AD came, there was stability. Even though Jupiter is 8th lord, he is in 6th and gives Viparita Raja Yoga. His AD from 1999 to 2002 brought stability from commotion. Of course, with Saturn being yoga karaka and taking part in many raja yogas, including a very close one with lagna lord Venus, Venus-Saturn antardasa has been excellent for India (2002-2005). While the world is faring very badly, India is doing quite ok. Bottomline: I am not sure how relevant your "indices" are. Rahu antardasas haven't been excellent as you say, but they have been the worst for India.
