Guest guest
Some time back I had posted an article on Nov 8 planetary movements and New age view point of it. They call it Harmonic Concordance, something similar to the 11.11 effect. The reason for posting it on the list was to get esteemed members views on that days activities, but incidentally no one took it up. I did get some mails from list members on it asking me to give my views, but i am not an astrologer so i reproduce below someone elses. Astrologer Vaughan Paul ( i hope i got his name right , apologies if i screwed up on the name i am bad at this) has written an article on this Harmonic Concordance from the vedic point of view and i have his permission to post it on the list. I would have loved more indepth meaning on it as many people have gotten sick or seen things in the sky during this period. Pls see this below and any comments would be great. I do know that new age topics are not discussed on the list but I was thinking of it as planetary movements kinds Jagmeet ji thanks for sending the link on esoteric astrology. Joy and Light Suniil John Mumbai A Vedic View on the Harmonic Concordance - Nov 8, 2003 Namaste friends! Today, November 8th, is the day many people are hearing about as the Harmonic Concordance (as opposed to the Harmonic Convergence of Aug 17, 1987 prophesied by the Mayans) which is a rare planetary configuration that in the Western astrology circular chart forms a 6 pointed star of David (two triangles one pointing up and the other down). It culminates today on the partial Lunar eclipse at 8:14pm EST. In Western astrology this configuration involves Saturn, Juipiter, Sun, Chiron, Mars, Moon, and the North and South Nodes which are placed 60 degrees or in almost perfect sextile positions from one another. It's really beautiful to look at because sextile positions like trines are fluid and harmonious relationships between planets. Here's a Vedic viewpoint. On the technical side the Vedic system, of course, uses a square chart style that doesn't draw lines to form images so you can't see the Star of David. It's really a lot more boring in this sense. The other difference is that the Vedic system doesn't recognize Chiron, since it was just recently discovered, which is a pivotal player in the whole configuration. The other difference is, of course, that the Vedic uses a sidereal zodiac which subtracts 23 degrees from the Western positions, thus putting the planets in different signs 77% of the time. In Vedic astrology sextile relationships are partial, not full aspects but that are harmonious because of being in harmonious elements. For instance, Air and Fire signs vs. Earth and Water signs. The significant thing is that it's a lunar eclipse. The configurations at the eclipse are important because they leave an impression or imprint in the atmosphere for 6 months until the next eclipse. It sets the collective tone - and this is an outrageously harmonious tone particularly between the malefic planets since every malefic planet is involved in the configuration (excluding the outer planets). This is really good news. My sense is that this event is leaving a very positive mark on the collective consciousness, opening up the possibility for greater harmony on many levels. On the interpersonal level this will be a turning point in people's relationships freeing up old blocks and paving the way for more healing. Not a bad thing to have happen especially when the media doesn't seem to peddling the positive. On a personal level I believe that where individuals have felt blocks in the past will begin experiencing breakthroughs and will therefore begin to reach new levels and manifest more of their Divine purpose/potential. This is an extremely positive event. Protect your identity with Mail AddressGuard
