Dear Jagannathan:

The chart you describe below is an interesting study re. marriage and partnerships.

Let's look at the potential malefic effects for marriage.

With a Taurus rising, then Scorpio is in the 7th House of marriage, therefore

Mars is the Lord or ruler of the Marriage house.

So, Mars is in the first house, which is not often very good for success in

marriage, because it's 'kuja dosha' or imbalance of Mars, upon the marriage house.

But, when we look more carefully, we see that Mars is the ruler of the 7th house,

and whenever a planet is in the house opposite to it's own home, it represents

a strength....

So, instead we might have to focus on the potential tension between say, Mars and Venus.

Mars and Venus often describe a fairly passionate nature so the spouse too, should have

a similar kind of propensity for romantic or sexual passion.

However, there's some slight apprehensions with Mars and Venus so we need to look at the

closeness of their degrees so we can determine if they're going to reflect too much

of a volatile situation.

Also, there's another consideration that needs to be looked at and that is again,

Mars, itself.

Normally the Lord of one House, opposite to it's own home is okay, but in this case,

the Lord of the House of Marriage represents the house of the mate,.... going to the

house of oneself...

So, sometimes this represents a quality where there's some karmas of the mate,

possessing or dominating the other!

This especially because it is Mars, is not healthy.

So, we need to be sure that she doesn't allow, others, especially marriage, types...

to dominate or rule her!

Marriage is the partnership of equally respected souls, individuals, men and women...

who are willing to treat each other....

as my Self!

One final thought....

Rahu with the Moon in the 5th house of pre-marital relationships....

may mean that the path to marriage...is worse....then the karmas of marriage itself...

So, Rahu needs to be neutralized as well!
