Guest guest
SrI: SrimatE rAmAnujAya nama: SrimatE varavara munayE nama: Dear Sri Sreekanth Swamin, Thanks a lot for your wonderful pilgrimage diary and the photos, and I seek to enjoy more of your anubhavams. dAsan, KidAmbi Soundararajan. Sreekanth <sreekanth_a > wrote: SrI: Dear Srivaishnavas, This is part-4 of this picture series. http://www.pbase.com/svami/adinathar Adi piran sannidhi The devasthanam, is known as Azhwar adinathar devasthanam, where the jivathma and paramathma is given the same status like in the Sacred “Om” The fameous “onnum thevum ulakumuyirum” (4.10.1, TVM) glorifies AdinAthan, in the nintra thirukkOlam. Photography was not permitted inside the temple (so kindly excuse me adiyen donot have a picture of azhwar) There are 4 uthsavams margazhi, Ani, mAsi, and vaikasi. Two each goes to Azhwar and perumAL. Perumal moolavar is AdinAthan and uthsavar is polinthu nintra pirAn. Thayar : Kurugoorvalli, Adinathavalli . There is a sannidhi for pantriAzhwan (njnAnapirAn). Which Azwar mentions in the thiruvirutham and in the end of the last ten on thiruvaymozhi (meenavarai irandu pirakovvi nimarnthathoppa kOlavarAhammonnAy..). Thiruppuli Azhwar (the sacred tamarind tree) was full of puliyankai, but adiyen was told the tamarind fruits never get ripened. They just fall down, while they are tender, and the fruits, have only its outer skin. Adiyen had a wonderful sevai of nammAzhwar, for a very long time, since the temple was not at all crowded. Both moolavar and uthsavar has beauty beyond adiyens explanations. Moolavar adorns karimaran kondai, a special crown. The sannidhi archakar was kind enough to give Ney DoSai prasadam, a flower garland adorned by azhwar and sandal wood paste with azhwars abhaya hastham imprint, thirtham and SrIrAmAnujam. Every where Azhwars thiruvadi is called madhurakavi, except in azhwar thirunagari, emperumanar resides on the SaTari, and is reverently addressed as SrIrAmAnujam (akin to poomannu mathu porunthiya mArban, puhazhmalintha pAmannu mArAn ADipaninthuynthavan…). All other azhwars are present inside the azhwar shrine itself. After explaining the history, the temple priest paused a quiz for adiyen, “having had sevai of Azhwar-adinathan sannidhi, can you tell which AchArya’s divyamangala vigraham alone is present inside the azhwar shrine?”. Adiyens answer was immediate, SrIman nAthamunikaL. Yes adiyen was right. Only nAthamunikal donot have a separate sannidhi, he resides with Azhwar always. Azhwar thirunagari has all other AchAryas, in individual sannidhis (as you have seen in the previous postings the pictures from few sannidhis), maintained as separate temples outside adinathar devasthanam, except nAthamunikaL. As mAsi uthsavam was going on the two days adiyen stayed there, evenings were a feast for eyes with polinthu nintra pirAn riding on hanumantha vahanam and SEsha vahanam (paran thiramantri pallulakIr daivam mattrillai pESuminE 4.10.3 TVM). Adiyen humbly requests for those who visit azhwar thirunagari to stay there at least a day. Every village person, you will meet, is a scholar, and will have a piece of valuable information for you. They never count you as a stranger, they talk to you as they know you since long. AdiyEn literally experienced “bOdhayanthaH parasparam”. adieyn ramanuja dasan sreekanth Azhvar EmberumAnAr JeeyAr ThiruvadigalE Saranam http://www.vedics.net Bhagavad gita Culture Ways of Sri Visit your group "ramanuja" on the web. ramanuja Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min.
