Guest guest
||Om Brihaspataye Namah|| Dear Pankaj, You raise a good question. However the interpretation of the position of the planet in the sign is generally done with respect to the direction in which the planets move through the zodiac. Except for Rahu and Ketu, the direction of movement of all the planets through the zodiac is clockwise (zodaic in form of a circle starting from Aries and ending in Pisces in clockwise direction). Rahu always moves in an anti-clockwise direction and hence the computation of the position in the rashi for the purpose of determination of the atmakaraka is reckoned from the point when it first enters the rashi (ie., at 30 degrees of that sign). regards Hari vedic astrology, "Pankaj Sharma" <ssa@n...> wrote: > Then if any other planet is Retro, then same rule should apply? > > J.Weiss [jayhw@t...] > Wednesday, January 21, 2004 8:47 PM > vedic astrology; vipin aggarwal > Re: [vedic astrology] How can Rahu at 1 deg,be AK ?? > > > Dear Vipin, > > Very simple: Rahu is always in backwards motion, so 1 degree is 29 degrees > away from where it started in the sign... > > Regards > /Jay Weiss > http://www.alvicomm.com > >
Guest guest
Interesting question, but in my opinion the answer is NO as a chart is a snapshot of planets in current position. Rahu is always in retrograde motion. /Jay Weisshttp://www.alvicomm.comhttp://w1.143.telia.com/~u14304644'>http://www.alvicomm.comhttp://w1.143.telia.com/~u14304644 - Pankaj Sharma Vedic-Astrology Tuesday, January 27, 2004 6:43 AM RE: [vedic astrology] How can Rahu at 1 deg,be AK ??
