Kinnara semi god

Dear Deeptiman,

Yaksha and Kinnara were supposed to be the celestial entertainers with

special powers. Eunuchs are referred to as Kinnara in Hindi. They were

probably people of the north east part of India, where dance forms a

part of rituals too. Yakshas had developed the art of singing and

Kinnara of dancing to almost divine levels. Others might have different

information.
