Nirayana and Sayana systems-Guru Ramadasji and other Gurus/members

Dear Guru Ramadas ji and other respected gurus

 

I have come across a typical confusing problem.I had cast horoscope using

Nirayana system and Sayana system.These horoscopes differ also in planetary

positions.Predictions done separately based on these systems also differ.For

some horoscopes,the sayana system rashi chart and the dasa analysis goes well

when I cross check with incidents in real life.While I do not claim to be

profound on this,I remember to have read in B.V.Ramanji's journal ,prediction

of Jayalalithaa losing in the last assembly election based on nirayana system

and dasas ,where as some scholars came out with predictions of Jayalalithaa

comming back using Sayana system and dasa analysis which ultimately came true.

 

Frankly speaking, I have not gone into the semantics of these systems except I

used these using software.Pray enlighten me on the following:

 

1. What are these systems and how these originated?

2. When to use these systems or should we use only nirayana system with necessary variations.

3. Are these systems connected with diiferent dasa systems like

Vimshotri,Shodashotri etc. depending upon the applicability ( I remember to

have seen such a posting on different dasas in the list-Sanjay Rathjis

earlier).To be specific, do either one of these systems follows a specifc dasa

system?

4. If this is going to take much of your precious time, please tell me where I

can get the theory on this.But again , I have to fall back on the list for

practicalities.

Please go through Sri Vasista Kavyakanta Ganapati Muni's Hora Nirnaya Sangraha.

According to my guru these slokas were by Sri Ganapati Muni on the request of

pandit at Gokarna Kshetra. This is about Parasara System. Sri Ganapati Muni

cast his horoscope in Sayana System which was earlier done by his father in Nirayana System.
