I am the founder and administrator of this list. I am an astrology student and a

software engineer based near Boston, USA.

 

I never met Dr. Raman and only corresponded with him via letters in late 1998

(just before he passed away). I am a great fan of Dr Raman and consider him my

guru, along with my father, who was my first guru, and Pt. Sanjay Rath. My

first book ("Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach") was dedicated to Dr.

Raman and my other two gurus.

 

I have a free software called "Jagannatha Hora Lite" on my website

(www.VedicAstrologer.org). Its full version (Jagannatha Hora) is sold

commercially and the money goes to SJC. I will be glad to give a free copy of

the commercial software to the grandson of my Guru. If you are interested,

please let me know.

 

It is a pleasure to have a grandson of Dr. Raman on this list. Dr. Raman is a

great role model to emulate. He is unmatched in his mastery of the subject,

predictive ability, spirit of sharing knowledge, respect for maharshis and

saattwik approach. In this age of greedy self-proclaimed gurus trying to

commercialize astrology and rake in mulah, Dr. Raman's sattwic approach,

adherence to tradition and humility are inspirational and exemplary.

 

I hope that you will prove a worthy successor to your illustrious grandfather

and that you will continue to participate in the discussions on this forum.

PS: You said in a separate mail that you will look in your library for Lord

Rama's birthdata as rectified by Dr. Raman. I look forward to hearing from you

on that.

 

PPS: I have been seeing some mails on Vajpayee and BJP. My prediction is that

BJP and allies will win comfortably. But Vajpayee will be replaced by another

leader within one year. LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi will both rise in

ranks this year. I will try to write more on it later.

I am glad to have joined this group. The scholarly discussions that

take place are very interesting and informative. The members are very

helpful. I was very happy when they reverted to me with the slokas

that I had asked.

 

Dr. Raman has been aptly described by father, Niranjan Babu Bangalore

as "Na Bootho, Na Bhavishyati" meaning never before, never again.

 

I have been reading your articles that appear in our magazine. I

liked the article on DTPC which appeared in January Issue. You may

also go though my article on Stock Markets in the same issue.

 

It would be nice to have a copy of your software. I look forward to

receiving it.

 

I will post the Birth details of Lord Rama as estimated by Dr. Raman

as soon as I locate them.
