Also Mercury which is 3rd house lord from 10th in here chart is in exchange with Mars. Powerful one for power. Also see Yogakaraka Mars is 3rd from 10th in transit and powerful exhange as well. Jupiter has powerful transit aspect on 10th house. Saturn in transit creating vipareeta raja yoga for her being 8th lord. This is interesting with Cancer as lagna. May be accidentally Madam has overlooked the Yogas in Smt Sonia Gandhis chart. I think the lat and long are slightly different.(45,01 & 7,31) Malavya yoga in 4th house.And Venus is Amatya Karaka.4th lord Venus joins 9th lord Jupiter in kendra.Another Classic Raja yoga.As Jupiter is 6th lord as well ,she might had some problems.Also jupiter ,bhrashta principle taking her away from home but india becoming another home by virtue of other yogas in 4th house and 9th lordship of jupiter. Seventh lord in ascendant.And as per Parashara Saturn or Rahu in Karka are position givers.Thus her position giver saturn is in karka in lagna.As this is 7th lord as well it is connected through marriage.In case of Vajpayee ji Rahu is in karka in 9th house.Dispositor of Rahu in ascendant. Sun political planet and second lord(house of staus ) is in 5th with mercury(3rd and 12th lord - also dispositor of ascendant lord). Association of 3rd and 12th lords are kind of vipareeta.Exalted ketu joining them in a trine.In navamsha this mercury is disposited by political planet sun.Thus this mercury the dispositor of acsendant lord has a major say as being the current dasha lord. I am enclosing both the JHD charts. I hope someone can get an authentic source to verify the date and time. My source was someone from Delhi, and I have my serious doubts about that chart now. The data you have given is Sonia gandhi.jhd and the chart I had is Sonia gandhi.dd.jhd There is no doubt that the latter is wrong and I had based my reading on it. Sometime back K N Rao and some senior astrologers had warned that we should be very careful about source of chart, especially in Delhi...all sorts of inputs come from there. Now the chart. Prima facie it seems better as the Upapada is in Aries which is a royal sign and its lord Mars is in trines in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is connected to Air India (see its symbol) - thats where she must have met Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi had Leo lagna which is correct and in trines. Second from upapada has Guru-chandala yoga Rahu in Taurus is aspected by Jupiter - spouse was murdered. Rahu is exalted in Arudha Lagna and is lord of 8th from lagna - the native rises after becoming a widow or loss of spouse. Mars is a 100% yogakaraka no doubt, especially in the 6th house. It is also the lord of 5th house (power, authority etc) in dasamsa. So she can come to power during mercury dasa, Mars antardasa which is till february 2004. Thereafter the real politics of Rahu in Badhak and in arudha lagna will start..will she be able to handle it? If this is the chart, the answer is NO. Just read what Parasara says about Mercury dasa Rahu antardasa. One thing is for sure..those who murdered Rajiv Gandhi are going to get some sleepless nights. She is one tough lady by the looks of this chart and she will not spare them. A number of other politicians are also going to get sleepless nights as she opens up closed and dusty files...I guess it is time for some shanti mantras for them. Personally, I will not make any more predictions unless I can have a good source for confirmation of the chart. Actually the people of India have blindly voted for ANY NEW FACE ..people are sick of Indian politics...just anybody will do - see how many film stars made it. Perhaps I too should have tried my luck... Sunil has given time as 21.40. So you can understand why Politician's chart are difficult to predict. Correct birth time and even correct co-ordinates are rarely available. In the April'04 and May'04 issues the Editor's analysis had the birth details I gave earlier. Sonia Gandhi Born 9-12-1946 at 21h 30m (ZST) at 45N30, 11E33 with a balance of 11 years 9 months 22 days of Rahu Dasa at birth. Lag Ca 28-30. -They use Raman Ayanamsa.- I have with me many back issues, usually the Editor doesn't use Lagna unless she's sure, instead give analysis from Mo only. Her writing style also points that she's quite confident (of the accuracy of the data). She did analysis in the April and May issues both. Atleast her date of birth is confirmed by Sunil's post. Luckily Pt Sanjay Ji gave an anlysis and he says the chart is powerful. As per the data, Ra AD is running, Ra being in the 11th and a kendra from Me should give good results that being in the 12th from Mo in a foreign land. I dont know whether this is good enough to elevate to the post of PM, Su is also short of shadbala strength. Transits are bad, that probably shows a tough time for her. The time of birth also differs. This is why it is difficult to analyse their charts. My views are as follows: The observations I have made can be treated more as a post-mortem analysis and clues can be taken to strengthen our knowledge of the sacred science of Jyothisa. Mrs. Gandhi is presently running Mercury Dasa, Rahu Bhukti. Dasadhipathi, Mercury, being the lord of the 12th and 3rd, becomes malefic and his presence in the 5th house is not advisable. Rahu, in the 11th, exalted, gives a good amount of political recognition. Now the question is to whether Mercury Dasa gives her the Raja Yoga results. color:maroon">1. If once makes a closer observation, and also considers the Bhava chart, which in my humble experience is equally important, we find that Mercury is placed in the 4th. A malefic placed in a Kendra minimizes the negative influences to quite an extent, though it might not do good. color:maroon">2. Extending further, Mars as 5th and 10th lord is placed in the 5th in the Bhava chart. Mars, situated in his own house, aspects, Rahu which is favourable. Regarding Mrs Gandhi's chart I can add that Jataka Chandrica's Sholka 33 and 34 are applicable. Your lunar eclipse and Kalasarpa Yoga article were very interesting. Especially as you stated in the lunar eclipse mail, the treasury is sure going to be affected because of the recent developements. I though because of Ju's aspect on Su, the eclipse is powerless. Regarding Mrs Gandhi's chart I can add that Jataka Chandrica's Sholka 33 and 34 are applicable. Your lunar eclipse and Kalasarpa Yoga article were very interesting. Especially as you stated in the lunar eclipse mail, the treasury is sure going to be affected because of the recent developements. I thought that because of Ju's aspect on Su, the eclipse is powerless.
