Steps are to measure time elapsed from sunrise to birthtime in Vighatis. Multiply the same by 4 and divide by 9. Remainder should give the Janma Nakshatras distance from Ashwini, Magha or Mula. 2) Kunda This method takes longitude of Lagna, multiplies it by 81, expunges multiples of 360 and the position of the remainder should be in trine to Janma or Nama Nakshtra. 3) Pranapada lagna I am enclosing Sanjayji's mail that explains this method. 4) D-108 Jupiter position It is said that D-108 should have a male Rashi for males and female rashis for females. Corrections are therefore made to satisfy this requirement. I would very much appreciate if you can please let me/group know in detail how to use these 4 techniques. Namaste. Rageshwari. Guest guest
Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat Dear Vistiji, Thank you for explaining and sharing yours as well as Sanjayji's views. I am posting your reply on the site for the benefit of all. Best Regards Ramesh Visti @ Denmark [visti (AT) (DOT) org]Thursday, June 10, 2004 7:22 PM'Ramesh Gangaramani'RE: [vedic astrology] RE: Birthtime rectification methods |Hare Rama Kåñëa| Dear Ramesh, Namaskar You have taken up one of my favorite topics, so I will answer. 1) is special and very sensitive as it changes at the speed of 1/4th or a Vighaöi. I discussed this with Guruji once and we believed this was used to rectify the Moons position for the use of Dasa’s as the Moons degree was sometimes disputed. But this one is still mysterious to me. 2) is primarily used to rectify the Prasna Lagna, but if you apply it to signs instead of naxatras you can use it for other puposes in the natal chart. 3) – No comment this is self explanatory. 4) Using the D-108 to rectify the sex of the person doesn’t seem accurate, I have always relied on the Ardha-Nadiamsa for this purpose, hence dismissed the use of D-108, however some believe its used to confirm the birth of twins or birth of human beings vs insects and birds. Hope this helps, Best wishes Visti Larsenvisti (AT) (DOT) org rageshwari75 [rageshwari75 ]Wednesday, June 09, 2004 11:36 PMTo: ramesh.gangaramani (AT) ae (DOT) york.comSubject: Birthtime rectification methodsDear Rameshji,A few days back you rectified the birthtime for a chart using 4methods:1) BV Raman techniqueI read this in Shri Raman's book Hindu Predictive Astrology (Chapter XI,page 49).
