The American economy is worst than the government actually reporting. By keeping the American dollar weak against Euro, Yen, Canadian dollar and most of other currencies, the American economy is statistically appearing better that what it actually is. Companies are not hiring and even large established companies are laying people off. You're very lucky that you got a job offer. The best option for you cosidering the current state of the American economy is to get your money-meter started, get some experience on your resume in the United States and when the economy improves, move to the Computer profession.
