Guest guest
Since most people sounded very confused I am sending some basic information about Khuja Dosha and Mars.Gurus may please add and correct this.I am putting down the various views which may help in the study. In my personal opinion Khuja dosha CANNOT completely go away.Planets are like people and the nature of Mars is someone who wants to fight, protect, and is full of energy. This inherent nature can become milder but simply cannot change. As far as I know Mars dosha is NOT cancelled completely but only the intensity of the effect will change. Please read below for more: Khuja Dosha is a term often used to indicate a dosha or affliction of the planet Mars. Mars is a fiery planet and affliction of Mars indicates affliction to the Agni tattwa. This affliction can indicate various problems in the native’s life. There could be physical troubles and dangers [specially from fire accidents], disturbance in the inherent nature of the native, resulting in a hot temperament leading to a very short-tempered person. People with such an affliction are prone to taking decisions in their life out of anger and revenge and at times even are self-destructive. Mars is also of Tamasic guna and an affliction to Mars can lead to an imbalance in passions, over indulgence in sex or great involvement in desires of such kinds. Due to this the affliction of Mars holds great importance while judging the relationships of such a native and specially the most important commitment of ones life, ‘Marriage’. So, the importance of judging a Khuja Dosha holds maximum meaning when we look at the native’s married life or while matching charts. At times this affliction can be very strong as the Agni itself and even lead to the death of one’s spouse. This is the reason why over centuries Khuja dosha in any chart has been considered one of the worst curses possible. There are off course degrees of these effects and this would depend on the various influences on Mars and how much of this affliction is pacified in the chart. At times when the affliction is not very severe remedies can be suggested and relief can be obtained to quite an extent but the dosha as such cannot be totally nullified and the native is bound to suffer troubles in the areas of life indicated by the lordships of Mars, placement and other problems related to it. Formation of Khuja Dosha Placement of Mars in certain Bhavas leads to the affliction of Mars: ·Mars placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 12th houses leads to a Khuja Dosha. ·Some astrologers also consider the 2nd house since Mars in second house can indicate bold or bitter speech, harsh words, etc. There are a few who disagree. Mars matures at 28 years. After the natural age of maturity Mars cools down in its results. It’s due to this reason that people with Khuja Dosha are advised not to get married till the age of 28 as the negative effects reduce after that age and this works like a natural remedy. Khuja dosha in a chart signifies a curse and it needs to be seen why the curse is there and remedies can be given accordingly. Since Mars is the significatior of brothers it can also indicate the curse of a brother and remedies must be performed for it. While matching the charts for compatibility it’s important to see that a native with Khuja dosha marries another native with Khuja dosha since this balances the strength of mars in both the charts and the results are not felt so drastically as they would be other wise. At times even the death of the spouse may occur. Khuja dosha is an important principle and should not be ignored in any chart. Best Wishes, Kanupriya. Expressions unlimited! Guest guest
|Hare Räma Kåñëa| Dear Kanupriya, Namaskar Whilst your thought process of the application is correct, the philosophy is far from correct! Mars is the natural käraka for celibacy, as he is a warrior and is required not to engage in such affairs, at least until 44 where the warrior can retire. Hence his association with the 7th house is highly unwanted, as this restraint is not required for marriage… Marriage was not at all for that purpose. You are correct in bringing Agni Tattva into this – Mars is Agni Tattva and Venus is Jala Tattva – they simply do not mix, hence the Jala Tattva is vitiated, i.e. the water starts boiling. As per scripture this can cause constant breakages in marriage, or delay in marriage. Now the 2 Grahas which can keep this Mars in check are Jupiter and Saturn. Saturn’s association can remove the delay in marriage but will not remove the fights, and hence breakage in marriage is still a possibility. Jupiter’s association will give marriage after 28, and then the Kuja Doña would have matured much, but still breakage in marriage is possible. Some say that debilitation can remove this, I won’t comment as I have not seen many charts with Mars debilitated in 7th house to decide properly. Now question is where is Mars among the mentioned houses? The houses for Mars’ placement are dependant on Mars’ Graha dåñöi on either the 7th or 8th houses. Among the houses possible for mars’ placement the 2nd and 5th houses are usually excluded hence; 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th are the Kuja Doña houses. Mars’ placement in the 8th house is the one which can break marriage. It will show the way the marriage is broken too, i.e. through fights and violence. The separation will end with a fight. Mars’ placement in 12th and 7th delay marriage and again during marriage will cause violence and possibly break the marriage. Mars’ placement in the 4th house causes great insecurity about ones spouse and makes one overprotective of the spouse. Mars’ placement in the Lagna indicates a violent character and delay in marriage and just like the 4th house has the possibility of Sarpa Yoga. This can be appeased if birth is during the night, but yet the native will be very cruel and irresponsible causing the problems in marriage. I hope this settles some of your doubts about Kuja Doña. This is what I’ve learnt and I know there is more to it, but that needs some application in charts first.
