Rashi Drishti & Marriage-Visti

Dear Visti,

I wonder if you might throw some light on this. COVA suggests, and so

does Vimshottari and Udu Dashas that Guru's Gochar Drishti on the 2nd

from UL or Gochar itself on the said location is a necassary

condition for a lasting marriage. Will a Rashi Drishti to the 2nd L

from UL suffice? I seem to remember that Pt. Rath allowed this in one

example in COVA. This is distinct from the case where marriage

happened while Guru aspected the 2nd L from UL but was only

consummated, at Pt. Rath's directions, when Guru covered the 2nd

House itself.

Further, would Rashi Drishti to the UL strengthen the case while

aspecting the 2nd L from UL though not the 2nd H?

Clarity on this point will be much appreciated.

Regards.

Anurag.

Dear Anurag,

Namaskar

This is a Muhürta

principle. Can you please mention on which page Sanjayji has given the

exception for the 2nd lord from UL – I would be learning too.

Yours,

Dear Visti,

I'll try to find it. It must be one of the examples under the 7th

House in COVA. Till I manage to find it, do you have any opinion on

the matter, assuming of course, the example actually exists.

Regards.

Dear Visti, Pranaam,

Though this is not the case I seem to remember, it too has Guru

Gochar through the UL and aspecting the lord thereof. Page 271 COVA.

Though the marriage was not lasting, Pt. Rath does not attribute it

to Guru Gochar but to natal inauspicious dispositions of AL, UL etc.

In this case, Guru transits the UL and aspects, perhaps by Graha

Drishti, the lord of UL ans second therefrom. There is another case

in one of Pt. Rath's books which more precisely ilustrates the

situation, since the marriage is lasting etc.

The point is if Guru's Drishti to the 2nd L suffices if Guru also

covers by Gochar or Rashi Drishti, the UL and 7th therefrom. Only as

a supplement to the rule about the 2nd House from Upapada.

Best regards.
