Guest guest
Dear Sunil, It is said that the Vimshottary should be calculated from strongest of the Sun, Moon and Lagna. Personally, I stick to using the Moon based dasha. My logic is that Karma arising out of mind, it gives better results. Chandrashekhar. Does the commercial version of JHL have the option of calculating Vim dasa from any planet. 3. Has anyone ever tried using Vim dasa calculated from any other planet. Your replies would be most appreciated. Even in case of Neecha Bhanga Raja yoga, like in other case the results of house owned/occupied/aspected by it would be realized at the time of his dasha/Antar in combination with a yogakaraka planet and matching transits. A palanet getting exaltation in Navamsha gives results of exaltation in D1. His results for indications of D1 would be that of a Neecha planet whereas his indications of D60 indication would be as if exalted. Chandrashekhar. Guest guest
The opinion Chandarshekhar laid down is acceptable as well as recommended. I also follow vimshottari from Moon, and in rare cases from lagna, and Uttpana as classics suggested. Taking other grahas as initiation of vimshottari is not a novel notion, but I dont know the sources from Jyotish classics. Some softwares now provide options to choose any graha as starting point of vimshottari dasha. For the sake of research these innovative variations of vimshottari should be checked and compared in different cases. One possiblity is that we can use Jupiter based vimshottari for looking timing of events childern and husband. Mars based vimshottari for judging events for brothers. That is, principle of karakas (significance) based vimshottari variations. Another option is to consider planets as lord of bhava in chart. That is for Le lagna Sun based vimshottari tells timing of events regarding tanu bhava, (body, health, nature success etc). Third possibility is to take bhava madhya (House Cusp) for vimshottari initiation point. Among them one can take MC (10th house cusp) based vimshottari for analysing career and professional ups and down. But as I have earlier said, these variations are like research capsules, and need sound logical ground and classical reference. Regards. M.Imran PS: I have changed my residence, and during this week have not any internet access, therefore could answer many mails received privately. Sorry to all.
