Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease. It involves the entire gastro-intestinal track. it can affect any part of the digestive track. The cause of the Crohn's is still unknown. Some of the common symptoms are abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss, and fever. I do not know whether it is Vata, Pitta or Kapha. Hope some members can shed more light here. I thought Jupiter was not casuing the problem since there is Neecha Banga Raja Yoga for Jupiter. Due to Gaja Kesari Yoga, I thought Lagna Lord (Chandra) was not causing the problem. However, You are correct in that this problem started in Jupiter Dasa. I will go to the Ayur Veda store here in Berkeley, California and enquire about Triphala. One more request - Is it possible you can look at my Karma Stathanam (Career). I have been unemployed for more than 6 months now. When will I get a job? What prayers should I do to get a job and keep it. I appreciate your help. My humble view on this subject is that, typically in a chart, 3-4 factors in general come together and point to a problem of this sort. Please be advised that Triphala will not cure the problem by itself, but it is to cleanse the colon from toxins, also it will releive any tendency towards constipation. BUT it will be very helpful towards healing, e.g. it will facilitate the healing process that's for sure. Triphala is the original name used in India, (it is commonly known), in the west, that same is available with the code; MA 505, in places where they sell Maharishi Ayurveda Products (MA is for Maharishi Ayurveda). In the States the code can be again MA 505 or MA 9505, but I am not sure of this latter). The typical advise here is to use this medicine regularly for 3 months or so. It is totally harmless, and with no side effects. I do not know about the availablity in the Berkeley area, but best best would be to contact a "good" Ayur-ved doctor, which should help to great extents. Although I am not a doctor, I have experience in this area, have seen many many cases, over the last 10 years, hence can very strongly advise that you seek help in this direction. I have seen some next to impossible cases being cured. This does not mean that Ayur-Ved can cure everything, but it will be very helpful. Please note that the approach of western medicine and Ayur-Ved is totally different. The cause of this disease may be unknown according to the western point of view, but we do not need to know the cause in Ayur-Ved, we check the dosha balances in the body, find which one is causing the disease and treat that, and that is a treatment of the root cause, not treating the symptoms, so it is altogether different. Also please let me know if you plan to visit Delhi, in which case I will have a further important suggestion. Please allow a couple of days, I will respond regarding your question on career. Guest guest Posted October 1, 2004 Report Share Posted October 1, 2004 Dear Krish, Namaste, I am happy that you are interested in Ayur-Ved, it happens quite often that friends do not realize the potential there, and simply do not get interested, this is a karmic issue is my thinking. The Maharishi organization has many centers for meditation, almost every big city has one. Also there are Maharishi Ayurved Centers or Clinics, where you find a western doctor with education and experience in Ayur-Ved and they even give treatments like Pancha Karma treatment (a very powerful treatment to cleanse the body of disease causing toxins and to rejuvenate the body), which is one of the basic approaches in Ayur-Ved. Unfortunately these A-Ved centers/clincs are not as wide spread. I do not know about your area, but there is one in Iowa Fairfield with a very powerful Indian Vaidya as doctor there, the clinic is named Raj. Well, the thing that will work wonders for you, is to find eighter a very good Vaidya/doctor that has specialized in Ayur-Ved, or at least find a western doctor trained in the Maharishi Ayurved System, which is a standardized system with standard herbal /preperations medicines (one of which is this MA 505). During a short consultation with such a doctor, he will diagnose your problem through Nadi Vigyan / pulse diagnosis, and give you some herbal preperations, and some more advices, which will be very helpful. A total cure is I beleive possible, but at the least the problem will be reduced to a very minimum. During the last 10 years I have been interested in this field, I have visited many well-known Vaidyas, had many many treatments for rejuvenation etc. (we have one clinic here in Istanbul also) and have seen the treatment and good results in innumerable different and difficult health problems. Triphal, and a Mr. Kaimal responded saying that he could ship Ayurvedic medicines anywhere in the US.
