Guest guest
A healthy dose of skepticism? Recently, a writer suggested that John Kerry will win. Equally emphatic was another who calculated Bush would win. It was obvious that Astrology will lose. When you can't rely on science alone, you need art. Every writer that I have encountered in this site, never factors in Fee Will, and assumes that predictions are predetermined based on some laws. Free will allows you to piss on destiny and alter your fate remarkably. The current debate on who will win the elections has the probability of a coin toss. i.e. 50:50 and most of the contributors spend reams discussing which side the coin will fall. It still 50:50 Basic psephology (the science and study of voting behaviour) and psychology will tell you Bush will win. America is a nation of rednecks and they love a red neck. And the collective free will of these dumb voters will determine Bush will win. However, the margin of victory Kerry for to win, is about 3-5mm votes. These will come from those Americans abroad, who after realizing the world does not drop away at its borders after they left the shores of America, now feel embarrassed calling themselves American if they continue to have Bush in the white house. They collective free will could give Kerry the margin for victory. The Scientific Skeptic
