Swamiji's knowledge of astrology

I recall having read a news item, probably in The Hindu, after Rajiv

Gandhi's assassination that Shankaracharya had sent a fax to Rajiv,

advising him not to embark on the journey since his planetary

positions were very bad; and if he decided to still make the journey,

to visit Swamiji first and then go about his travel plans.

 

With the above in perspective, normally one would assume that Swamiji

with his great knowledge of astrology would have foreseen this event

relating to his arrest if he had analysed his own horoscope.

However, it depends on whether in the sanyasa tradition this is

permitted at all.

 

My family and I are deeply shocked by the recent events relating to

Swamiji's arrest. Just wanted to share this small piece of

information with other members.
