Dear Gurus and friends,

May I request your clarification on dasas? In Pundit Rathji's

Vimsottari and Udu Dasas book, he explains a number of special

condition dasas. On page 36 of the book, his advice is to use "the

order of precedence given by Parasara to select the suitable dasa".

He also says "in case of doubt, use the first source of strangth for

affirmation". However, on page 44 while analyzing Swami

Vivekananda's horoscope, he illustrates how to use a dasa that is

lower in precedence, since the governor of that dasa is stronger.

So, is the rule to first see which governor is stronger, and then

apply that dasa, and in the special case where the governors are

equally strong, to apply the dasa of the strongest governor?

My natal chart satisfies the criteria of 3 special conditions, the

Ashtottari, Panchottari and Satabdika. I am curious as to which dasa

to apply in my case.

Sanjay Ji mentions the special case of both Panchottari and

Satabdika (vargottama lagna between 0-2.5 degrees in cancer) on page

39, and recommends the use of Panchottari.

Astottari dasa has as its theme, export of knowledge or goods or

services. Panchottari has the theme of Radha and Krishna's love that

leads to Moksha. Satabdika has the theme of strong ideals and

beliefs and protection from Mrityunjaya.

My personal perception is that Panchottari describes the theme of my

life the best, since Krishna prema has permeated my life from early

childhood, even though our family does not have a tradition of

worshipping Krishna any more than the other forms of God. The other

themes may possibly be applied too, in some fashion. I don't think

this is the appropriate way of deciding which dasa to use though.

Could my learned friends please enlighten me on the appropriate

special dasa to study for this chart?

Thank you for your help.
