We all do what ever we do because of our purva janma karma.

I have a question regarding this..

I have been introduced and explained about the Gita at a very young

age. Precisely at 10. I have been told that no matter what we do,

our destiny leads into a set path.

So, probably with misguided or misunderstood knowledge...I have

waited for destiny to take over my life. I now realize that I have

choosen that path and not the destiny.

So here I am trying to figure out why I have been so blind about the

numerous opportunities. I think I am trying to find someone to blame

so that I feel happy about it.

I always wanted to detach myself from the material things money and

gold and power. But, somehow I seem to get more and more into it.

Probably, I am running away as I am afraid to face the truth.

How can I relate this astrology? Why am I so inclined to learn about

it?

Probably I have access to the knowledge with continous internet

connection. Or probably, it is just a bad habit.

Why do you suppose someone with somany objectives to reach in life

be so disconnectedly follow astrology forum?

Though this is a question for myself to answer..

any of you learned gurus can comment on this.

-Durga.

Dear Ms. Durga,

There are a few points that I would like to make through my own

very limited knowledge of Gita. Hoping that it helps.

> We all do what ever we do because of our purva janma karma.

We get the results of our past karma as well as our present

karma, a mix of the two in the present life. It is like drinking a

glass of water (present births' karma and results in the same birth)

and being born in a rich family (past lifes' karma with results in

present birth).

We don't really do things because of our poorva karma, it is just

that we get the results of past karma in this life. Instead, we are

free to do our actions as Geeta says -- "You have right to do Karma,

but not on the fruits of the karma". So Gita allows for freedom in

doing karma....but you have no right/freedom about choosing the

good/bad results of your karma... you will have to bear them whatever

way they come to you...ofcourse, you will do some karma in

anticipation to improve your situation in case you get bad

results...but again the results of anything happening as a result of

your karma is not in your hands...but in hands of KRISHNA.

This is called PRARABDHA - i.e. what has been decided at the

beginning of your life => Some part of your past karma has brought

some fruits to be delivered to you at different times in this life.

So that will happen, irrespective of what you do... ofcourse, JYOTISH

helps you know your PRARABDHA...and you can do some karma in

anticipation to feel the PRARABDHA in a certain modified manner or to

get rid of your PRARBDHA altogether by getting JEEVANA-MUKTI. NOW,

PRARBDHA is valid for you whether you are JEEVAN-MUKTA or not....i.e.

your mind/body has to experience the fruits of PRARBDHA whether you

are JEEVANA-MUKTA or NOT....except in the former case, you won't

really mind it!!!

> So here I am trying to figure out why I have been so blind about

the

> so that I feel happy about it.

Oppurtunity is how you take things. It is finally, you , yourself,

who is going to choose to feel like missed the oppurtunity/gained the

oppurtunity...You feel like missing the bus, right...Optimistically,

there will be another bus...as Geeta says, Yogis' who have fallen

from their path, take rebirth and attain their objectives in the next

life... sounds like... KRISHNA saying...don't worry.

> I always wanted to detach myself from the material things money and

Well, this is your present karma and it has come into being by

virtue of there being some factors (SATURN) in your birth-chart

pushing you into this direction...Your current feelings are just a

temporary state of mind...compared to your whole life...which is

nothing but another temporary halt for the SOUL...as per GITA...

because the permanent halt is at SATYA LOKA of KRISHNA.. right.

> it?

Check your Vimshottri ...as it will tell what you feel. Your

inclination will be visible in your Navamsha chart...tries of

Navamsha lagna/KARAKAMSHA lagna.. while your actions will be seen in

Rashi chart...Access to knowledge should be seen in Rashi chart...

right...May be a Jupiter in trines/aspecting your LAGNA.

> Why do you suppose someone with somany objectives to reach in life

> be so disconnectedly follow astrology forum?

Because out of the rest of the planets influencing your

intelligence, Jupiter has more of a role to play...Jupiter gives you

1. hope of finding an answer to your questions 2. finding answers

through divination/Jyotish..

> Though this is a question for myself to answer..

> any of you learned gurus can comment on this.

You are always answering all your questions.... because even if I

have given the answers, and you don't understand these answers, they

are useless... so eventually, you are the only person to be answering

all the answers to you for yourself....always...

And Geeta tells us... that it is KRISHNA who answers to all your

questions...in all the battles of our life...as he did it for ARJUNA

in MAHABHARTA WAR. That is why KRISHNA is always there in your heart

to guide your soul...Right?

regards,

nitish
