I have joined this list to get a feel for the terminology and discussion of vedic astrology. I know very little at this point about this system. Possessing no study material as yet, I am at a loss in some of the conversations I have silently followed. Still, I would like to concur in feeling with J. Weiss. The breath is the life and the word (Sound) informs-- at least in my understanding of esoterica. How otherwise in conjoined twins would there be separate entities since there is a shared body (or essential organs) in many instances? I have marked the exact birth time of my three sons with the first breath/cry. The cord was never cut immediately, but rather a few minutes later. I do have a question about birth times which has bothered me of late. That is my understanding that the soul chooses the time of birth. How then is this effected when parents and physicians are scheduling and inducing births to fit their "Time of Convenience" and around vacations.
