Swamsa = The division in which Lagna resides ( Navamsa).

In the text book "Sankate Nidhi" in Sanketa 2 in sloka number 28 ..

" Kalatrasoukhyakyadi Navamsalagnadvilokyamarkatoatra pitrov"

It clearly tells .. Navamsa Lagna has to be examined only for wifes

happiness.

Sloka number 27 tells =)

"Lagna Dhischintye..."

Lagna of Rasi chart has to be studied for ones body & onself.

Now when jaimini + Parasara has given placement of Karakas has to be

studied only from Karakamsa ( The division/D-9 in which Atmakaraka

resides) then why to attempt see them from Swamsa?

Infact Navamsa Lagna should be observed only with reference to

Kalatra & not the Native.

Dear Samarthji,

An additional datapoint on Swamsa and study of Kalatra from it -

Some time back I read somewhere that in marriages with a lot of

bonding kalatra's udaya lagna is the same as jataka's swamsa.

Do you have any comments on this theory?

Namaste.
