Guest guest
Dear members, I am new to this group. I see that most of you are experienced jyotishis from the subcontinent of India. I have only just started learning vedic astrology and although I am now familiar with most of the terminology, I have not attained the level of expertise that you ladies and gentlemen have. I have been reading this list on and off courtesy of a couple of mates of mine who are members for about a year now. Well, I am a white male from the antipodes. My dilemma is that I am in love with someone from a completely different race and culture - one of your countrywomen. I met her in March 2003 through a professional group to which we both belong and my love has continued to grow ever since. However we both have met with a lot of opposition from family and friends and I am increasingly frustrated. We enjoy a deep friendship at the moment, nothing more. I would greatly appreciate your help and guidance. Can we expect to be together at least some day in the future? If I could look forward to this, it would make things easier for me. Unfortunately I do not know my birth time but I can give details of my life if that would help in rectifying time. I was born on 18.2.58 in Christchurch, New Zealand. My friend's birth details are known and accurate as far as I know, although someone told her it might need to be adjusted by a few minutes. She had asked a colleague of hers to post on this list for advice many months ago, but I am not sure if he did so or not. I do not think he had all the details of her life to hand anyway, so I will give them here. I understand her chart is extremely interesting and worthy of study in itself, according to some other people who have looked at it. Female, Chennai, India 28 Dec 1959, 15.15 p.m. Father was in an adulterous relationship with someone at work although he loved his wife. Mother left him and took the children with her, between July and October 1967. Native was abused by some members of mother's family when growing up, constantly belittled and physically and verbally abused. Sun and Saturn together in 8th house in Rasi chart shows the early separation from father, yes? Father was a very famous doctor in Chennai who died suddenly in 1980, I think around August. Can this be picked up from the chart? Native very close to both parents, particularly the mother. Devastated by father's death. Mother then contracted a rare type of lung cancer and died a horrible death with much agony and suffering in end of May 1996, less than one year after diagnosis. Lots of predictions were made that she would recover or at least last for another year but she did not. Native is highly intelligent, warm, and loving and looks very young for her age. Can her profession be picked up from her chart? She is an excellent writer and has published extensively although not a writer by profession. She has 2 elder siblings, both of whom suffer from psychiatric problems and they don't get along. The burden of looking after the family after her mother's death has fallen on her. Despite being intelligent and hard-working and diligent, she has not done well professionally with numerous breaks in career - seen by Saturn, lord of 10th in 8th house? My questions to you all and my plea for help : What remedies do you suggest for a happy home life, and better relationship with family members especially siblings? What remedies for a good marriage? Is there anything in her chart to indicate marriage to someone of a different culture, perhaps later in life? Will we be able to have children together or even one child? What remedies for career success? This woman should be so successful given her incredible talent and gifts, and yet she seems to be held back. She has had an extremely unhappy childhood and adulthood. Is this due to the Kalsarpa yoga? Will it break at 45 years? Does breakage mean complete relief? Different astrologers have given her different gem stone recommendations. One suggested a pendant of Red Coral (for Mars), Blue Zircon (for Jupiter he said), Cat's eye (Ketu) and Gomedh (Rahu). She was wearing it on a chain with no obviosu difference. Later, another told her to wear just Gomedh (because currently running Moon-Rahu dasa) and Red Coral. Which is correct and where should she wear it - on the hand or as a pendant? Yet another said the nodes whould never be strengthened. Another suggested blue sapphire ring and she was wearing this on the little finger of her right hand for several months until yet another person told her to take it off! Can the moon be strangthened in her case since it is debilitated in Scorpio? Will strengthening it give her more peace of mind? She becomes very unhapppy easily. Many thanks in advance.
